Lazy Moe's Ballarat reviews
74 Generally have a good experience with Lazy Moes. Hopefully this was a one off but the takeaway we ordered on Friday night definitely wasn’t up to their usual standards.
I got pesto pasta with chicken, the container was only half filled, the chicken was super dry (at $6 toads to the order) and there wasn’t much of a pesto taste to the pasta.
The delivery driver did knock on the door so our food was cold before we realised it had arrived.
Hoping it was just an off night for the chef. All dine in experiences have been positive.
Had to pick up an order placed on DoorDash with Daddy's BBQ from here. Dunno what happened - merger of 2 different business or what! Food was very underwhelming and too oily for our pallette.
Nice and spacious place however the food didn't taste nice at all. Steak was dry and chewy, though I did ask for well done but the meat was way overcooked.
Pasta was really salty. They asked the kitchen to redo the pasta for us but the 2nd time came out was not any better. I couldn't even finish half the dish. Very disappointed.
Great food, excellent service, awesome prices.
Steaks were smaller this time and had to get my steak cooked more as was very underdone.
630 pm booking got t at 830 bought beer to me opened and said sorry but it's warm lol how un Australian meal size was good but service was S@#T I only hope the covid had taken half there staff away for the night my 5 and 6yr olds t came half an hour difference from each other
This place has got to be one of the best in Ballarat.stuff and amazing we were asked if we would like our 2 year olds food put in front of him instead of them just assuming he would know it was hot, amazing! Food is always soooo good
Relaxed, good food and service, nice coffee, able to use bread instead of sourdough, great coffee
Staff are very friendly food is cooked relatively fast I ordered the sticky beef ribs and they are amazing the meat falls straight off of the bone it looks amazing and tastes heavenly, also got a pancake and for the price of it they are a good size and very yum! Out did them selves this time
The staff were amazing and attentive.
The prices are fair and you get what you pay for.which is quality and quantity the serving sizes are massive.
Thank you for an amazing night and definately will be back.
The food was lovely, but I don't get why the portions have to be so large, especially with health issues at an all time high.
The outside could do with a spruss up- it's a bit bland.
Serving sizes are huge and the prices are great value. Quality is 'good'. If you get something that has chips you will get a tonne
Quick, nice service! Tasty, HUGE meals! Atmosphere is welcoming. Very good experience and will be back:)
Mars bar cake was massive and thoroughly enjoyed my giant lemon ice tea. We really enjoyed having dessert here.
Lazy Moe's Ballarat is fun, funky and has a great menu selection to suit every taste and/or craving. The servings are huge so a full tummy is assured. The staff are lovely too = a great experience.
Underwhelming milkshake room for improvement i would of thought, $100 breaky for 4.5 people is highish u would expect hit all the stars for that. Food was enjoyable
Servings far too big, and very poor quality. A snouts and trotters in the feed trough kind of place. The amount of food wasted is unethical and immoral.
Disappointed. The salad I ordered was watery. The chicken was disgusting, was far too sweet. Prices were very high also.
We went here for a breakfast. Welcome wise it was easy and the young girl was friendly and on point with her service.
The venue is clean, spacious and if you like sport or captioned news then you’ll like it particularly if you seek the American diner feel.
We ordered the french toast, pancakes, hollandaise egg and ham, and the salmon eggs with tomato (can’t remember the name)
Unfortunately my meal was cold but the flavour was there and most diners would probably have said, “hey this is cold”.
Overall the place was spacious and the staff were good (although junior). $7-8 for an ice tea is a little overpriced considering the kids meals are cheap but clearly that’s because you get one piece of toast for $5.90 and pancakes that resemble two small pikelets.
Personally I don’t think we will be back but I can see where they are going with this given the story on the history of the place. Not awful but not five star either.
Thanks to the staff though as they were great.
It was a great meal for me, but my partner asked for a Milo with lactose free milk before her meal which made her sick after her meal
