Paul is a top employment lawyer. He is my go to guy in terms of recommending anyone who needs very good employment law advice. He's measured, polite, calm and he is also a very nice man.

I had a disappointing experience when I reached out to Paul Cott regarding a Centrelink debt issue. Despite initially being told by his receptionist that he could assist with the matter, the phone call was rushed and Paul came across as unwelcoming and blunt. It's possible he was pressed for time, but the interaction was far from pleasant. Unfortunately, when I mentioned the issue, Paul responded with, "I don't deal with that kind of stuff, " and abruptly hung up on me before I could finish my sentence. This experience left me feeling frustrated and unheard.
It was also comforting to read in other reviews that Paul has abruptly hung up on them too.

I have been using law on Lydiard for the past two years

As we all know, it’s a dog eat dog world am I name Blueys is very popular since the dog has popped out on the TV show. He’s been successful on multiple occasions to defer other businesses from registering my name Blueys, as I have Ip rights to his name.

He’s also been able to send out cease-and-desist letters to people who have come across in bad business practice and doing certain things that conflict in and with my business business. He is worth his weight in gold he’s very fast and punctual any business. We all know this is Key, especially when you’re selling time.

If you read this do go past him. My business can not grow like it is with out legal confusion and help so this one stop tradesmen is a one-stop Law room like law on Lydiard he also reads over my contracts and cleans them up and directs me in the best way

Waste of Time and Money
In December 2020 Paul Cott offered to help us in a dispute with a builder and building surveyor from Ballarat. During the 12 months he basically achieved nothing, other than wasting our time and money. He advised us incorrectly regarding starting the VCAT process. During every meeting he tried to look important by carrying around more and more printed documents – silly.

He was weak as water dealing with the other lawyers from Ballarat that pushed out lie after lie and false documents. Almost sounded like he didn’t want to affect his friendship (s) with these evil people.

He then failed to produce a basic Points of Claim document which caused us further delays and money. After the VCAT conference call disaster, he asked us just before Christmas for a meeting. We asked him why he didn’t produce the Point of Claim document. We showed him a fact sheet from VCAT that outlines the basic contents of a Points of Claim document. He asked us if he could have a copy of that document – how shockingly embarrassing.

He then felt offended, lost his marbles and ran out of the room like a little kid. Days later he pulled out, declaring himself as mentally ill. What an easy way out, leaving us wasting 12 months of our lives with a person that was simply incapable to deliver anything meaningful.

To his only defence we can only say, that he at least was not acting like the pure evil builder, evil building surveyor and their evil respective lawyers from Ballarat.

Looking for a good lawyer? Good luck finding a decent, honest and capable person. Most the lawyers will follow only their self-interest: charge you excessively for every single minute that they spend on writing letters without actually caring about you as a person.

Law on Lydiard may not be your right choice. We certainly cannot recommend this lawyer to anybody.
