Las Margaritas Woodend

Food was delicious! The service to begin with was fabulous but once food and one drink order done that was it. We were a table of 7 and at least 4 of us would have had another margarita. Felt like they just wanted us gone. Also very noisy unfortunately.

I’d given up hoping to find decent Mexican food in Australia but this restaurant is easily the equal of any Tex Mex you would find in the US. Service was brilliant and the food outstanding.

WOW hands down one of the best Mexican joints we’ve ever been to! We had Chimichangas, so delicious we cleaned our plates! Great service Cool vibes! Beautiful atmosphere! Definitely gonna come back on our next Daylesford trip!

Went here after locals night with a group. My partner and myself had a drink each and a meal, totaling $78 value. Everyone else at the table ordered similar.

When the bill came it was split 5 ways and we were charged $125.18 for 2 people.

When we realized how much we paid, we went back into the restaurant requesting to see the receipt. The owner refused to show us the receipt and screamed at us.

I'm not sure where the extra $47.18 came from.

Avoid if possible. SHOCKING customer service. In no circumstance should anyone be yelled at for requesting a receipt.

It's a shame this would happen in a local community.

We were very happy to see separate vegan options on the menu here! Nice wine and cocktail list too. It was cute to have some corn chips and salsa on the table for us to start with. Yummy nachos!

Having lived in the US (California and Colorado) for almost 20 years, and spent time in Mexico, I can say unequivocally that this is by far the BEST Mexican restaurant I have experienced in Australia. EVER. The locals know it, too: It was a Thursday night and the restaurant was packed. Salsa and corn chips were complementary on arrival (which is standard in “real” Mexican restaurants). The salsa was amazing — transported me to Central America.

Everything we ordered was exceptional. We were completely blown away. At the end of the meal, I said: “Let’s move to Woodend. ” We ordered an entree of corn on the cob and for mains we had the Trio Stooges (enchilada, nachos and taco) and the Mexican plate (enchilada, flautos, taco, with rice & beans). For drinks, we ordered sangria and fakeritas. Our favourite item of the evening was the enchiladas, which were exceptional. The service was great, too. Very attentive and cheerful staff and the food came quickly despite the full restaurant. Prices were good, too. A truly memorable dining experience. Muchas gracias, Las Margaritas!

What a wonderful night! The frozen cocktails, drinks and food are so delicious it's worth any amount of money. The waiting staff are Incredible and the cooks are fantastic and very friendly! 10/10 authentic Mexican experience with delicious food.

Great place! The frozen cocktails were delicious and everything was very flavourful and authentic.
Only constructive criticism I have is that we couldn't order the 3 different types of tacos on one plate. We really wanted to try them all but could only order 2 or 3 tacos of same filling as there were no variations allowed. Would be great to be able to order and try the full selection in one meal.

Vibrant wonderful place with delicious Mexican. It was a treat to end our trip to Macedon with a meal here. Owner was very hospitable. Both our meals were delicious.

Service was fast and friendly however we felt very rushed, food was hit and miss, my meal was nice but my partners was not, drinks were a little over priced.

Reasonable pricing. Superb and authentic atmosphere and decoration, plus point for path to toilet which have tungsten light bulbs decorations. Unique water bottle which is whisky bottle and shallow glass. Food was nice Especially well marinated chicken in fajitas, average for over cooked beef, other ingredients so far so good. But I have mild diarrhea when i reach heathcote when i go back echuca. Please improve food hygience.

Just wow - will be our go to Mexican from now on. Staff fabulous, food fabulous and oh so yummy margaritas

We arrived for dinner with a booking and proof of that booking and were told that someone had already arrived for our booking and nothing was done about this. We were turned away even though we had a booking…

So glad to have a nice new restaurant in town. Authentic and delicious Mexican flavours, and a large menu of both food and drink. If they could just improve the booking process slightly, it would make life a little easier. But cannot fault the food or dining experience
