Lara Swimming pool reviews
3137°C forecast and the water park is closed. Today we were told it was closed for maintenance. When I queried why it always seems to be closed, I was told that they cannot predict what the weather is going to do, so they are short staffed. This excuse has been used before. You can employ casuals and send them home, if the weather turns bad. I'm not blaming the girl I spoke to, but it's very, very disapointing.
Dated but clean and very well patrolled pool. Just beware capacity limits mean you may not get in, suggest trying in the afternoon. Morning rush seems to be all the toddlers, then it's home for the midday nap.
Nice outdoor family pools that cater to all ages. Get there early as there is a capacity limit. 7/10!
Pathetic, charge full price and all the kids stuff was closed. Poor shading areas if there was more people, but since it's probably the worst pool in geelong obviously no one goes there
It's a great pool but when it's cold and it's a issue got the virus here at one point but would be great if the pool had warmers on
Unfortunately due to covid and understaffing the pool just isn't what it used to be.

Fabulous for a day out with kids - stepoing back in time in a GREAT way. Slide, play designated pool space & heaps of shady grass areas.
We had a lovely day at Lara Aquatic Center today. It was surprisingly nice and quiet being one of the first warm days this summer.
I love how the paddle pool and slides are all in an enclosed area. There was a lifeguard in that space too. There was plenty of shade in that area which was great.
The other pool had a great space for young children to play. It wasn’t deep. Then there was a lap pool too. Not a lot of shade in this area if you need to stay close to the pool though.
I thought the center was well maintained, clean and the staff were very friendly.
We will definitely be back.
My kids and I love this place, but unfortunately our last visit we found the water
being extremely dirty. The water at the playground was black, really disgusting and also the toilets were dirty too. It would be nice if more money and/or attention was spent in keeping the facilities clean.
Good shaded grass area to sit and set up base.
The water park kids area was great. Really good amount of space and activities for a local pool.
Had a great time
Couldn't get in to see my grandson swim due to capacity, waiting in the hot sun, maybe covid safe but not sunsafe.no info down the line out the front
Why the Council and Lara Pool operators close at end of March and not stay open for the Easter Break is just beyond logic. Surely they could have arranged to stay open for a few extra days - especially given the hot weather forecast well in advance!
Really enjoyed seeing our grandsons having fun at this lovely outdoor pool. Lots of shade to relax under. Our grandsons love the water slides. Definitely worth another trip for more fun.
Always clean, safe place for young people and families to be. Old school outdoors fresh air fun!
Lara Aquatic Centre has lots of parking available and is Geelong’s oldest aquatic centre. There is a sheltered kids area and some shade sails, a canteen and some seating.
The centre operates seasonally from November to March. Its currently now closed for the season and should re-open on 1 November 2020.
Nice, simple swimming pool with the addition of the kids play area. Not over crowded and we'll supervised by staff.
Great pool, clean and plenty of room to play or sit back and relax. The kids area is awesome also, hours of fun. But remember to slip slop and slap.
Amazing fun, first visit but had so much fun that I'd return. We were told no photo or video but couldn't resist the fun our little was having had to immortalise her day. Just a snipet of tge pools fun, fun, fun.
Well priced, well staffed and monitored with great activities for the kids. A variety amount of pools to suit all ages. Lucky enough to have a snack bar with friendly and courteous staff.
