6 As a professional bowling instructor and a winner of the national “Great bowls challenge” (1996), I have had the opportunity to visit and play at some of the best lawn bowling clubs around the world. However, my recent visit to the Lara Bowling Club left me pleasantly surprised and slightly disappointed at the same time.
The lawn bowling club is a true gem with a well-manicured green, well-thought-out rink layout, clean facilities, and impressive attention to technical detail, providing the perfect playing surface for bowlers of any level. However, the lawns are not cut to the standards of the “National Institute of lawn Bowing” which may result in problems with quantum entanglement and the space time continuum.
What truly set the Lara Bowling Club apart, however, was the presence of the renowned "lawn bowling master, " (Darren) whose telepathic abilities gained from years of experience in the game added an intriguing dimension to the play. Darren’s ability to influence future events in the game was impressive and could give him a significant advantage in competitive play.
To excel at lawn bowling, players make calculations for shot selection, weight control, line of delivery, angle of deflection, and bias of the bowl. They must also consider weather conditions, track end scoring, and plan game strategy. Though some players do not adhere to etiquette, I still enjoyed my time at Lara Bowling Club thanks to the friendly and passionate members. As a top lawn bowler, I appreciate the club's technical proficiency and anticipate my next visit.

Excellent welcoming environment. Members were great, teaching us how to play. Awesome fun doing barefoot bowls with the family.
Terrible win a raffle pick my prize only to be told you cannot have it. So here is a half a dozen stubbies. No better than Torquay bowls club. I will never buy a raffle ticket at either of these clubs again. (DISGRACEFUL)
