Lara Big Bite Fish & Chips

Didn't get what I ordered rang up and he said he heard me wrong 25 min drive each way to fix problem. No thanks and won't be returning

Most of our food we ordered on Saturday 6/1/24 was good but the mighty burgers even our dog turned her nose up at the under cooked red meat. The batter was burnt but the mince wasn’t even cooked as it was to think. The steamed dim sims were still cold. Rest of the meal I would say was good, steak sandwich perfect, sova on cue same with cheese and bacon cake, potato cakes, chips ect. Just need to have less meat in the patty for mighty burger and watch time in fryer so not to burn batter till black.

Dirty filthy place ran by rude people called me a liar as they clearly don’t understand English when someone calls a phone order in - why do these Indians run shops if they can’t speak English or be clean - I never do this but it was filth

Chicken was delicious, but for the best experience, the chicken right out the fyrer is best.chips we're good.customer service was lovely.i wish them the best for the future

Don't always get what you paid for (missing extra items), had item subsitutions without being asked about it first

Wasn't that impressive.chicken was so dry which is disappointing from a place that specialises in chicken. The loaded fries was just mush with really dry hard chicken on top.the burger wasn't to bad just the chicken in the middle was real dry and the role was hard.the place does have potential but I won't be ordering again. I might give it another go in a couple more months and hopefully they change the people making it because unfortunately at the moment KFC wins this battle sorry but yuk

I have to recommend this place based on the friendly and welcoming customer service, bonus that the food they serve tastes great. The souvlakis in particular are 5 star.

Decided to give these guys a try after receiving a discount code via email, the chips were that overcooked they were like eating little pieces of bark! The flake was more batter than fish, I wanted it to be good but it was a long way off the mark compared to the other fish shops in Lara.

What is with this place lately last few months
Not open and reduced hours on and off. Thinking this night is our night we always go or get delivery but closed

The convenience of home delivery was the reason we use this fish and chipshop, though lately the service has really dropped, I orders online at 5pm to be delivered at 6: 15 and the order arrives 6: 45 when I rang the store to enquire what was happening with our order the person answering the phone had terrible customer service. The previous order items were missing and it was a bother for them to deliver the items that were missing and by the time they did arrive the rest of the food was already eaten and packed up. Very dissatisfied

This used to be one of the best spots in Australia to get burgers and chips. My food was always cold, but that was my fault, because I’d end up chatting to the owners for ages. The new owners have changed my mind. Staff both in store and during deliveries consistently ignored mask mandates during lockdowns, and for a food service, this is unforgivable. The quality of the food has also changed dramatically, as evidenced by many other reviews saying the same thing. The last five times I had tried to call through an order, the phone was either not answered, or uncontactable. Luckily there is another chip shop in Lara a little bit further away, so they have now won my business by default.

Had to change my rating, after ordering from here for a while the standard of service has dropped dismally. Food arrived an hour and 20 minutes after ordering, 20 minutes after their close time, no one answered the phone to answer my query and then I get luke warm food, they sent it with someone on their way home from work. Never buying from here again.

The worst fish n chips I have ever come across, bones in the fish uneatable. Burger burnt black, chips are just oil no spud first time in my life fish n chips have gone in bin. Cheers

This place has really gone downhill. Once a very good fish and chips shop, but now (for starters) the fish is tasteless, waifer thin with an overly thick greasy batter. A case of way more batter than actual fish. Chips were disgusting: oily with a real nothing taste. Ask for lemon and you get charged for a small slither. Waste of your.money and time.

Love Lara big bite, the girls always make my meals exactly the way I like it. From Veggie burgers to Deep fried fish and chips. Polite staff, clean premises and always organised.

Ordering online is super convenient, Lara Big Bite is the only Fish & Chip shop in Lara that delivers throughout Lara, Little River & Avalon! They have levelled up in every way, grilled salmon and fresh salads WOW! Not just typical fried food.well done!
