Lane's Edge cafe/Bar reviews
21Fantastic wine and cocktails. Got a dirty martini which was one of the best we've ever had!
Nice atmosphere, great staff except the night we didn't have music on the open area, weird but My friends and I still having fun sharing a pre B'day celebration?
Kyle and team were obviously understaffed but at no point was that an issue in service. Fabulous service and people - recommended
Lovely service, very accommodating of our big group. Special shout out to the person in a green shirt
Great middle range wine bar. Nice guy pouring the drinks. Good for a couple and some tasty nibbles, if i were them i’d put focaccia or crostini on the charcuterie instead of the mini breadsticks but in whole the charcuterie is pretty generous for the price.
Bet they’d be good for some after work drinks with the team round the back as they’ve got both big tables for a group as well as some intimate tables for couples.
Nice to have a mid range joint in this part of town as well.
All in all, I will be back.
We chose Lane's Edge for our work function and weren't disappointed. Service was fast and friendly with a good selection of drinks including quality AF options. Will was very nice to deal with in terms of booking and answering queries. Tasty finger food. Good warm heaters in the outdoor section (needed this Melbourne winter), covered overhead but plenty ventilation and a great music selection. Thanks for a successful evening guys.
Starting off on a very bad note for the ‘refurbished’ Lanes Edge, now with added teenage angsty waitresses and No Dogs. As a former regular of the old Lanes Edge I was delighted to hear about the refurb but was rudely awoken from that dream when the waitress said unceremoniously ‘sorry dogs aren’t allowed here’
That’s right, the new owner has apparently banned pooches in the rear outdoor seating area. According to angsty girl; it’s because of permits.
As a former restaurant owner in Melb City I know that outdoor seating doesn’t prevent dogs on leash.
And here’s an important lesson for the new owner: post-Covid there are more pet owners than ever before, so if you’re expecting customers to eat, drink and be merry at your restaurant you’d better fix your ‘no dogs allowed’ policy.
Poor Bruno will have to just go somewhere a little more inclusive for the time being.
Awesome bar on the corner of Meyers Place. Has an open outdoor seating area out the back and a cosy bar at the front. Pre-set cocktails are so delish. Our party also enjoyed the mulled wine. Lovely finger food as well. Brilliant service.
What a wonderfully relaxing evening! Took my best friend (visiting from Sydney) & it was an awesomely intimate venue for a night of catching up:)
Jazz & Will were both helpful, kind & engaging - however also left us to our own devices when we needed it, which was appreciated.it is so great sitting up at a bar for a chat, but also lovely to have the opportunity to be left alone to catch up.thank you both so much for an incredible Tuesday.hope to be back soon!
Been too many years since I've been and will be the first place I'm back to when I'm back in town in a few months
Lovely bar with great staff. Super friendly and easy to order. The menu is a bit small but everything on it they do well! Great spot for your friday night drinks
Oh how the mighty have fallen - no longer the perfect Friday after work dive! The old clientele should be warned, there's very little remnants of this place as it was. That said, no good thing lasts forever - however if you enjoy wine and a beautiful streetscape, you should still check this place out for what it's worth!
Completely different place and vibe post covid renovations. Table service only during stage 4 reopening. If you like wine bars, sure, but if you're after beers or meals probably try somewhere else.
Good relaxing bar/cafe with good service and ambient lighting. The wine on offer is pretty ordinary though!
Very nice staff! All very knowledgeable and fun. Cute atmosphere and a great range of cocktails!
Mine and my colleagues love coming here after work all the time. Paul (the owner I assume) is a legend. Food is decent too!
One of my favourite bars in the entire world. Music loud enough so you notice a great track, but soft enough so you can continue your conversation. A relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff who make you feel like you're at a friend's house party, rather than a bar in the middle of a business district.
Quiet and tiny place, they've got good food ($15-$20), solid atmosphere with a comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of beers to choose from and a home made spiced rum which friend highly recommended.
Also do takeaway which is great
Nice place to drink in the city. But I feel like it was built with Hobbits in mind. Not much headroom for taller people. Haha
Decent food for a decent price. Nice atmosphere on the back patio, but unfortunately you can't eat out there as it is the smoking section.
