22I went there today with my boyfriend and omg lemme tell you when I say they make best coffees. I ordered iced latte, i was bit hesitant cus ever since i have moved to aus. I have never had single coffee acc to my taste. BUT THE ICED LATTE WITH VANILLA SYRUP OMG! I ordered it twice in a row definetely ordering again and trying new stuff as well. LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE! They were so nice?
Can't rate this place high enough the staff bend over backwards, even though many times they're under the pump. I do get a bit peeved when amateur critics come and spit the dummy when they are told to abide by victorian health and hospitality industry rules, and expect and want privileged service. Grow a pair, and if you have any relevant issues take it up with staff in a quiet and civil manner and don't make a scene in front of other patrons. Doing this only shows you are front runner and like to showboat. Very lucky you're not from my generation, cause maybe you would have needed a lolly bag.
Today many customers came to this park and this shop is closed the information shows open
I don’t know why I expected any different. Quiet but coffees still took 20min. Asked for hot, and not even Luke warm. Horrible coffee. Mmmm, time to enjoy the scenery.
Very disappointed about the reception we received on arrival. Our party, Friday 23/6/23 consisted of 5 people and 2 people in wheelchairs. We arrived at 2: 00pm and was promptly greeted by a very rude woman saying that we couldn't stay in the cafe, we had to move outside on a cold winter day. There were only 2 other groups in the cafe at the time. She told us she didn't want 'wheelchairs' inside. I thought this type of discrimination was against the law? I tried to ring to speak to someone but the phone no advertised won't connect. We won't be going back. I'd like someone to ring me to discuss otherwise I shall be putting in a formal complaint on the grounds of discrimination.
Was a bit disappointed, hoping to have breakfast and they only have toasted sandwiches, they are so big filling is only warm. Coffee was good and staff nice
Nice food, friendly staff, great location - everything you need for a quick bite. Dog friendly.
It is a sprawling cafe in bush settings it feels like the Alpine area. Indoors is a huge dining area as well as a pool room and outdoor seating wraps in a u-shape around the cafe overlooking the bush.
Set in a very idyllic area, bird life is prolific. To top it staff is very friendly as well.
I had scones, a shot of espresso with a side of milk and really enjoyed watchingthe trees and the birds.
Staff were lovely, the space is cool and eclectic. Food was okay. Nothing special and a bit overpriced for what they offered. Would have loved a better breakfast range.
Place is in centre of Brimbank park. It has large eating areas both inside and outdoors. Menu isn't extensive, meals tasty and well presented. Decor is rustic with many curious items. Would benefit greatly if background music was much quieter. I'll be back.
What a great location for a cafe. I reached this restaurant after finishing the Maribyrnong river trail. I ordered a cheese & tomato toastie, a cold coffee, and a banana bread. The coffee was great. The toastie was simply amazing. It took some time to arrive, but was worth the wait. The banana bread wasn't freshly baked. I wouldn't complain about that. The location of the cafe corrects for any shortcomings in the food, which weren't many anyway. Will definitely go again!
Lovely atmosphere, great ambiance both indoor and outdoor. Had some live music when we went
Lovely little café with a good atmosphere within a park. Would have loved it to be a bit more "restaurant-like" with a menu and table service. Regardless, this is a good place to visit.
Today (Monday) I visited this lovely space so myself and my client (I’m a care worker) could have a coffee before going for a walk through the park.
As much as I love this place…. The coffee and the staff. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of Covid safety that was apparent by none of the staff wearing their masks.
It saddens me that I won’t be able to recommend this beautiful outing to other care workers that may be wanting to take their clients out for the day but as we work with immune compromised people we just can’t take the risk.
Fantastic service and such a beautiful place to have a cuppa while the kids enjoy the play area.
I give it stars for its looks, but not for product or service. My parents recommended it, so the first time I went there I tried a coffee. I can't remember it, but it wasn't my favourite tasting coffee. So, the second time I went with my parents I thought I'll give it another go. I was starving hungry and looked over the menu and decided on a toastie. Out of courtesy, I let my parents order first. Then I went to order my toastie and coffee. The unfriendly woman at the register looked at me coldly and stated that they had run out of toasties. She seemed like she couldn't care less either. I shook my head and walked away in disgust at the terrible customer service. My parents had ordered the "last" toastie. How hard is it to put two pieces of bread together with some filling and toast it? I don't think the staff here could be bothered to do anything "taxing" like that.
If you want a reasonably priced ‘no frills’ brekkie, and decent coffee then head down to this untapped, peaceful place amongst the trees. Take in the sounds and visuals of local wildlife. Puppy friendly. Forget about your worries like ‘covid’ as this doesn’t exist here. Just reading through the other responses.no mask on workers… MMMmmmmmmateree who caresssss…
Whilst coffee is good & their service nice enough, there don't seem to be Covid safe practices amongst staff with masks around their chins or no masks at all to eating at the kitchen/counter and returning with no hand hygiene whatsoever.
Burnt-but-still-cold sausage rolls. Masks would be nice too. Great location and nice dining room though.
An absolutely lovely place for coffee however not covid safe. It’s unfortunate that no staff wear masks …
