Lalor North Primary School reviews
192stars for this school. My daughters teacher last year always yelling! The principal Mr Williams didn’t care. Go to another school much better principal mr Robinson at Lalor primary school.
Our kids have thrived at this school! So lucky to have such a great bilingual program a nurturing environment and caring teachers and staff that are like family. Highly recommended!
Good news was communicated to parents this week, the principal mr williams is leaving at the end of term 1! Hopefully the education department will send a principal who understands multiculturalism, and keeps staff and students happy.
My daughter just started prep here in the Macedonian program. She loves the school here and has already picked up a few words in the short time she started. Staff are all friendly and say hi in the morning.
I was planning to enrol my children in the Greek program for next year but after witnessing the appalling delivery of the Greek language during remote learning with my friend who is at that school by the teacher Miss Katerina I won’t be doing that! I cannot understand how a bilingual program that offers Greek language every day employs a teacher who has limited knowledge of the Greek language. She cannot string a simple Greek sentence without errors, and has zero knowledge of verb tenses. She mainly spoke in English! Listening to her was sickening. Why has the principal allowed this to happen? My friend tells me the proper Greek teacher is on leave and the other Greek teacher who is wonderful and has good knowledge of Greek has the senior class.
I give this school five stars bc of the fabulous teachers that do a great job. I have two kids there, all teachers regardless if they are not your child's will greet you. My only negative is that since ms read left, nothing fabulous has happened, new principal doesnt care much.
The Greek bilingual program at this school is amazing! Unfortunately this year the Greek teacher ms Thomas cannot speak Greek! Sad.
My child had a amazing teacher last year, thank you ms Caruso, you were very caring and helpful for my son, now I hope my other son have you too you care to teach thank you
Lalor North primary school, as far as I know the school has got friendly principle Mr Williams and his teachers with their warm welcoming, In terms of the children education I think children's are developing their level of education and skills of learning at school, and I'm very glad to say Mr William and his team thank you.
There was no option to give zero star for the principal. The entire Greek community knows what the principal mr williams has done to the Greek program and the Greek teacher! We are not silenced! Mr Williams you should leave, move on and let someone who cares about kid’s education and languages to take the school to new heights.

There are better schools in the area than this one. My child finished last year, I was not happy with the new principal. Dont waste your time with this school. My child's teacher was unhappy and so were many others.
I had my daughter in the Greek bilingual program many years ago. She learnt to read and write Greek by the end of term 3! Why? Bc she had a dedicated, active and caring teacher Ana K. I cannot thank her enough as my daughter is still learning Greek and loving it! Highly recommend this school! If you want your child to learn Greek go and visit the school and definitely speak to the coordinator Ana and see the wonderful work that she does!
I have 3 kids and 1 more for next year attending Lalor North. They are in the Greek bilingual class and the learning is amazing. They all have excelled in both languages. I have taught them no Greek at all from home, so I can't begin to thank the Greek teachers enough. They do an excellent job and their teaching speaks for itself. If anyone is looking for a school that has 2 languages as part of their curriculum, I highly recommend this school. It is by far a much better option than sending your kid to a language school after normal school hours. You will not regret choosing this school for your kids. Thank you LNPS.
What a fantastic school! My daughter loves going to school and has learnt so much already in her first year there. They have wonderful and engaging learning programs with dedicated and committed teachers and staff who put the children first. All of the staff know my daughter’s name and make her feel important. The Principal is very approachable and present and makes the time to say hello and have a chat.
This school has bilingual programs, do your homework before you enrol. Bilingual programs are cultural hubs, kids are in a cultural bubble and do not form solid friendships. Ten to fifteen hours of language teaching per week takes away from the English curriculum! Why would you want your child to learn maths in the Macedonian language? The school's NAPLAN data is not the best! Find another school!
Lalor North Primary school is one of the best government schools in the northern suburbs. All my children attended the Greek bilingual program and are now bilingual speakers and great people. My grandchild also attends and is so happy at that school. Good mix of cultures and great learning. All teachers in the bilingual program are fantastic! Highly recommend.
My child's teacher has resigned! Have had casual teachers and the class is in a mess. The class is uncontrollable, with a number of disturbed kids! They throw books, chairs, bottles, tables when they are upset, and on a recent event, the teacher was running out of the classroom so she doesn't get assaulted! Stay away from this school, the principal does NOTHING! My child hates going to school.
Dnt go there! Not worth your time & efforts. I wouldn't even give it a star. Unprofessional staff, Completely disappointed!
