Didn't like the miserable bed or the horrible brown carpet or brown quilt cover. The experience was definitely 3rd rate at best

Convenient location
Close to shops, beaches.

Comfortable beds, nice clean but depending on the cabin

I visited there twice. Cabin number 12 is modern and clean

Cabin number 7 is old and not comfortable

The location of this caravan park is excellent, being in a quiet location, close to the heart of Lakes Entrance. I would suggest booking a spot closer to the back and sides, where it's quiet, and not at the front with the traffic in and out of the park. We stayed in a cabin, which was quite spacious, well appointed, except for the smallest TV I've seen in decades. The queen size bed was very comfortable. Cabin was quite clean, although we decided to clean the plates and cutlery before we used them as some were not clean. The cleaning staff were all friendly. There's no communal entertainment facilities, but the covered BBQ area is well designed and cool on a hot day. The park was clean and well maintained. The price was high for a cabin, but reasonable considering the location and being peak season.

So why 1 star? We stayed 4 nights, and never saw or had any contact with reception, even by phone. Reception was cordoned off, with a sign saying keep off the decking. No idea why. Our cabin was left unlocked for us to enter, with the keys on the table inside. Not exactly a feeling of security. Every day we saw people mulling around the reception building, wondering how to talk to somebody. But nobody ever appeared. You can't even get to the door to knock because it's cordoned off. Should be called rejection, not reception. The only time we ever saw somebody from reception (assuming it was the manager) was 4 hours after we checked out when I realised I left something in the room, so we drove back. From then on the manager was angry, rude, disrespectful. Even though he and I were at the cabin, and no car was there and nobody inside, he would not retrieve what I had left behind. He said he'd ring the new occupants, who he later claimed never returned his call. We stayed at a much friendlier place elsewhere nearby and called him to try and get what we left behind, only to be told the new occupants had checked out and taken it. So they stole what didn't belong to them - who knows what else they stole. He didn't care, made no apologies at all, no attempt for recompense. A sign in the cabin says if things are taken then you'll be charged the replacement cost. He never offered us anything. After that it got even worse with me calling 3 weeks later for an update (to give him a chance before I write my review), only to be argued with, told I'm a moron and a fool and threatened that if I left a bad review, he'd write a bad review about me. Way to win over a customer! My girlfriend couldn't believe the noise and attitude coming out of the phone. Most people try courtesy, respect, politeness and customer service. I won't change my review based on threats. I always give an honest and balanced review. He complained that she left a "nasty review" on booking.com. She made the review while we were still in Lakes Entrance and gave it an average, which I thought was generous, but apparently average is "nasty. " You couldn't pay me to go back there. I would happily go back if he's not there in the future and sells to somebody decent. In all my life I’ve never had such an interaction with any trader, especially not one that I’d given $580 to.

Reading the recent reviews, I see a theme of the manager being rude to many other people too. To prospective customers, be wary. To the manager, I don’t know what’s going on in your life, but taking it out on other people is not ok.

Property is not as advertised. It’s dirty, unclean, old, in desperate need of an update. Broken toilet, no toilet paper supplied and when trying to use the communal one- surprise surprise no toilet paper there either. Not enough cutlery for 2 adults and 2 kids so we couldn’t eat together as a family. No hair dryer, no fan, no clothes rack etc.nothing like advertised. We tried to contact the owners during our stay to discuss but they did not know respond at all. I’d stay elsewhere. Save your sanity and money.

Clean, Quiet, Cabins, Friendly staff and residents, some facilities not open due to Covid, but this didn't detract from our stay. Very comfortable beds, plenty of space, great family atmosphere, close to everything, but not right in town. We extended our stay, because we were enjoying ourselves so much. The whole Family, can't wait to get back there. Thank You Very much to the owners/Managers, for making our holiday Great!
