Lakes Entrance Recreation Reserve and Camping Ground reviews
44Great spot with majority of sites backing right onto the waters edge. Good clean facilities. Fantastic location; a few mins walk to Woolies and the promenade. Great caretakers and friendly local swans:)
Friendly staff and great low cost camping ground. I’m really pleased to see council run camping grounds, there should be more of them around this country. Clean and modern facilities. We stayed in the unpowered section where nothing is supplied in regards to facilities but we did have a great view.
Great location on the water. Modern clean amenities, camp kitchen. Grassy sites.

Great range of Asian and Western meals at a good price. Recommend the mango and calamari salad.
We travel in a motorhome so location to shops etc are important.
This campsite is on the beach, 5 min walk to pretty much everything you need, Kmart, woolies, maccas, cafes the list goes on.
Took our 2 dogs we all had a great time. Reception staff really helpful rang us to let us know they had changed our site before we arrived, left all paperwork in post box out side reception. Amenities spotless and new.
We will definately be back.
This campsite is a good central spot. It is about a 10-minute walk into town and the shopping area. The "camp kitchen" has BBQ stations, but no fridge, no stove top, and no appliances. The toilets and showers are closed to the powered campsite that we had and it was super clean with hot water! There is a laundry station as well as drying station. We love the view of the lake as well!
Enjoyed my stay, amenities we're modern and spotless caretakers we're very accommodating and all situated right on the water
Friendly & accommodating staff, 10 minute walk to everything, for a Rec reserve everything was spot on, ammenaties, right on the water, our overnight stay was spot on.
Very well located, very popular and very reasonable prices. A very new and modern ablution, block and friendly staff.
Good central spot and reasonably cheap. The "camp kitchen" is only 2 BBQ's, no fridge/stove top/appliances, the toilet block is a long way from the unpowered campsites and each campsite is very very close and cramped. However a lovely spot by the lake and a short walk into town.
Even in peak times, this spot is brilliant. Right on the water. Really well maintained. Donna is super helpful with everything. Quite a family oriented park, all completely quiet by 9pm when we were there (Dec 22). Really enjoyed our stay and so glad they were able to have us for an extra night. Thank you!
Fantastic amenities, really modern and clean bathrooms. Lots of space for kids to ride bikes, kick a ball or play cricket etc. A bustling little park but somehow really quiet and chilled. Would definitely recommend! $35 for an unpowered site during peak season is the cheapest in the area. Very close to shops and walking distance to everything you need.
Great location, right on the lake, plenty of space, swans and ducks too. In early December is was 6deg, a bit chilly at night. Sports field at the back and brand new shower and toilet block.
Great place to bring kids, this park backs on to the back lake, great for canoes, swimming, kids have access to footy ground so plenty of area to play.easy walk to the clubs, pub & main street shops, Friendly caretakers. Love this park
Nice place good price. Just got the bigger rigg in the gate. Walk too main st, walk to bowls club
A great place by the water, lots of room for the kids to run around on the footy ground. Downside - no dump point. Close (walking distance) to shops and clubs
Great location. However the bathrooms/toilets need urgent attention. The staff is working there non stop: hope they have a good pay and also some free days as well. We enjoyed our stayed and so did our doggies. Thanks and see you soon. Keep the good work
Really like this spot,
Clean facilities and caretakers are lovely people
Dog friendly
I unexpectedly liked this place more than I thought. Being so close to the water my kids had an absolute ball. It's a caravan park that gets the basics right, but you won't find jumping pillows and the sorts here if you need that, so if an entertainment park is what you are after this is not your place.
