A big thanks to Fi for helping my husband with our new fridge and holding it till we arrived. Fi went above and beyond what any ground person has to do in any way. By far made our stay outstanding and enjoyable. Thanks Fi,
Pete and Trace, Toby

Beautiful place.nice trees.a true caravan Park.but had trouble getting a site that could take a commodore & caravan, as the ground in parts is very uneven.shame about the city people that are here. 11pm at night, they have loud laughter, baby crying. Just plain disrespectful.

They took our money and the site was not suitable for our van, i cancelled the booking but they kept the money not ethical.
Booking is an automated machine which was not reliable.
Bad experience, dont go there

What a beautiful carvan park. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as great an experience as possible. The amenities are spotless and well appointed, cement pads on most sites, fab campers kitchen and the grounds stunning! Huge mature trees, views to die for all next to the Botanic Gardens. This is a must stay while in this wonderful part of Victoria.

I cannot rate this place highly enough. Tracey was an absolute legend. Really helpful, friendly and funny. Facilities excellent. Incredible views on both sides of the site. How often have you camped at a spot that overlooks volcanic crater lakes AND has a botanic garden attached to it? Not often, I'll wager.
Also, this is a cheap site compared to the sites on the coast.
Stunning, all round. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place! Such a great set up. Camp kitchen with appliances and amenities both excellent- loved the views and wandering through the neighbouring botanical gardens! Highly recommended!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Lots and lots of butterflies flying around and dancing on and over the lush green lawns and century old trees. Super friendly and hard working staff darting around maintaining and cleaning the cabins and amenities to an unbelievably high standard, it's just amazing that these two girls have any energy left to smile and great all the guests, but somehow they manage to find the time for a friendly welcoming and informative chat about this that and everything. Ab-fab location. Tracy and Fiona well done, you both set an incredibly high standard for others in your profession to aspire to.
Cheers Patrick and Grace (that little white dog)

Beautiful surroundings with access to the botanical gardens from the camping grounds. Amazing heritage trees and spectacular views from our campsite. The manager was very accommodating and set us up with a fire brazier on our first night. Brand new amenities and site was very easy to drive into. Loved our stay here. We will be back for sure?

Just Beautiful!
Super friendly and hard working staff who are so welcoming and helpful.
Gracie the beautiful camp dog was an absolute highlight
Great and more than ample campsites. Very well maintained facilities and felt comfortable enough to let the kids roam free between the play ground and campsites.
Great location with beautiful views of the lakes.
Excellent spot to spen our new years.
We can't wait to come back.

Great views of crater lakes and close proximity to botanical gardens created by Guilfoyle in the 1800s. The park is pet friendly and has good amenities.

The park manager Tracey is friendly and keeps the park very clean and tidy.
The amenities are brand new and the drive into town only takes 5 minutes.
The park is in a beautiful location overlooking many lakes and craters, hence the name.

Beautiful location with stunning views within a short walk. Spotless facilities, well equipped camp kitchen. No bouncing pillow, playground is set away from the campsites rather than amongst them so less popular for families who like to let their kids run riot and unsupervised. Powered sites are ample sized. The only minus was the length of the grass, but given all the rain lately mine probably looks worse. A lovely quiet and relaxing place to stay. I’ll be back

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet & for us was perfectly positioned. We loved being close to the Botanical Gardens & the Lakes. Had to work around no dump point.

Spectacular views from the lookout in the park. Botanical gardens in the park. Sunsets over the twin lakes park has great facilities and is truly family friendly. Just needs a dump site for RV toilets to be a 5 star.

Great cabin in the holiday park, on the edge of Lake Bullen Merri. Lotsa wildlife and an idyllic setting.
It's outa town, so no noisy trucks all night.
Highly recommend.

Clean toilets and cooking facilities. Being located next to the Botanical gardens is great too for a picnic.
Our site was right next door to the telephone and TV towers though so the air conditioning cycling was a little bothersome at night.

Would have been 5 stars for a stunning park, location and very freindly staff however. Stayed for the second year in a row for the Labour Day long weekend. Last year was amazing. New owners this year have outsourced booking to a call centre. This is where the fun begins. At booking no ability to request a preferred site. All sites are allocated the day prior to arrival. Sites we requested based on last years experience we were told were now for tents only based on an out of date park map. On arrival they were occupied by caravans.

Our van is 21 feet long plus drawbar. The site we were allocated was so short in length our jockey wheel would have been on the road. We were lucky in that we arrived at 4.30PM on Friday and they were able to reallocate an appropriate site for our van likely at the expense of another as they shuffled sites of people yet to arrive.

The sites appear to have been allocated with no consideration to van size. We walked the park and there were a number of small vans on large sites. We saw one "at least" 24 foot van leave the park 10 minutes after arriving as they clearly couldn't provide a suitable site.

When I mentioned to the amazing but completely overwhelmed staff my concerns they said that they had been fielding the same complaints all day. You could clearly see that the owners had not set them up for success.

In over 40 years caravanning I have never experienced such a circus on arrival. Add to this the call centre staff have clearly never stayed in a caravan park as they had absolutely no idea what they were doing. The people on the site next to us said that when they asked about local fishing on the lake, the operator said that they didn't know there was a lake there. One would think that the name Lakes and Craters Caravan Park might have given that one away.

Also only one toilet block and no dump point for toilet cassettes. Unacceptable in 2022. I guess no dump point suggests that the owners don't want modern vans to stay more than a couple of nights and to move on to another park that has a dump point. The alternative is to empty the cassette into the toilet which is what most would have done.

Caravanning is all about freindly service from booking through to departure at the end of your stay. The owners need to have a good hard look in the mirror if they want to retain staff and patrons in what is otherwise a stunning location and park. Once settled in we had a great weekend in what is a very clean and picturesque caravan park with amazing staff however we likley won't return unless they fix their booking system or have the call centre staff actually visit the park.

What a brilliant experience. Such clean grounds and facilities. Was very peaceful when we stayed as it was a quiet time of year, but looking forward to going back during the busy period and enjoying meeting like minded people who love caravanning. A big shout out to Tracey for all your help and making us feel so welcome.

Absolutely Beautiful place.
Slopey grounds to camp though which was not very good.
Toilets and showers were clean.
Loved that our puppy was welcome.
