27Beautiful, dog friendly spot on the shore of Lake Hume, ideal for a break or to stop over for the night (self-contained vehicles only, no tents). Toilets were clean and well maintained and there are many level areas to park.
What a fantastic place to stay an visit. Everything is so neat an tidy with a bbq an setting area. Bike an walking tracks
Nice place, there is toilets and a little playground. Camping for rvs and caravans, no tents.
Dogs allowed
Can have fires
You have a boat launch there aswell.
We didnt stay the night as it was very bitter cold and windy.
Great place for a stop over, clean toilets, undercover area for cooking, right next to the Lake
Excellent free 24hr camp beside the Hume Weir. Toilets provided. 25 vans here last night but still quiet. Good fire pit, bring your ownwood.
If you’re camping at this great spot keep your eye out for Kathie Hawkins who does a great job collecting for the Good Friday appeal, she has been doing this for nearly 30 years.we have got to know Kathie during our numerous visits and she is always up for a chat and a coffee. Great job Kathie keep up the good work.
What a magical place to stay. We are camped near the water and it’s so calming. The views of the hills in NSW are picturesque.
Loved our stay at Lake Hume. Has toilets and BBQ Area. Park for the children to play. Pet Friendly. Lake front with lots of room to park a caravan or motorhome. Just a short drive from Wodonga VIC or Albury NSW.has a boat ramp where you can put a boat in or just paddle bard or kayak.very nice place for a free camp spot.highly recommend. Will definitely go back if we are in the area again.
We stayed here for one night and found it to be a great spot. It is one place that it is worth getting to later in the day and places to park our caravan were limited due to the number of daytrippers. As these people started leaving, there were a lot of places to stop. It is a maximum 24 hour stopover, but I'm not sure how well this is policed as there were a few set ups that looked like they were there for longer. There are toilets available and 2 boat ramps. It was a bit noisy with the watercraft but hey, people were having fun. We would happily stay here again. However, it looked like it could get a bit boggy if wet.
One of our favourite stops right on the edge of Lake Hume. Go kayaking, sailing, fishing whatever. Magic sunsets and an incredible view. You can ride your bike to Tallangatta on the rail trail too.
Best campsite!
Great Lake view! Toilet clean and convenient!
I saw sunset, moon rise and sun rise from here!
A great lunch stop or overnight camp. Even better now the dam is full. Plenty of fish out there apparently. Two boat ramps and a great little toilet block. It's a little bit wet underfoot at the moment but so is everything. We will be back.
Very pretty spot. Some noise from the highway, otherwise quite peaceful. Plenty of birds and frogs calling.
Great place to visit, short drive away from the dam and a great lookout. Serene and picturesque place. Underrated
Fabulous place to visit the beautiful shores of Lake Hume. 10km from Wodonga.
Very easy access to water, boat ramp if req'd, fishing, & lots of parking, seating/shelter for day use. Multiple toilets, free electric BBQs, & a 24hr free camp for RV & c'van's.
The Rail Trail bike path is newly resurfaced & great access to walk the area. I've seen many bike riders here.
Well done Wodonga city council on a great free camping & recreational area
Beautiful free camp on Lake Hume
Get in early toget a great spot and don't forget to bring your ramps
Absolutely gorgeous! We camped here for a couple of nights in our motor home and enjoyed the very picturesque lake and the lovely walks. From Ludlows, you can walk south along the rail trail to Huon or north to Ebden. Both walks we're wonderful.
Clean and we'll serviced BBQ area and toilet facilities, added to the appeal of Ludlows Reserve. Thank you Hume Lake.
What a great place to stay. Loved our stay. I reckon you should put a donation box there. I am sure patrons would contribute.
Nice place to have a walk. I got some great sunset photos. I'm only giving 4 stars as it does not have EVERYTHING
