It's a small car park, ok for winter but when summer arrives the amount of people visiting the car park is always full.

This carpark is well located near the lake where there are plenty of picnic spots. However, on nice summer days it might get busy and there is not enough places to park.
The toilets could be a bit cleaner.

Toilets are open and although dark they were stocked with toilet paper and had been recently cleaned.

This is a great, peacefull spot guaranteed to calm the nerves.

Thev lake has extensive work done to encourage folks to sit, stay and play.

Now if you're after a coffee, lunch or snack, you have to go into Splinters.

Pretty well everything there is home-made, and the coffee is mild and great, not bitter.

The staff are great and easy to deal with, even if they are busy.

For those who prefer their own, the area has a BBQ thats easy access and under shade.

As I said. A great place to relax.

How to get there: up the hill towards the main drag, and turn at the BP.

Parking: free but scarce. If you park nearby, be neighbourly and dont block driveways.

Access: most of the outdoors is set up for wheelchair users and prams, but access inside Splinters is limited but no stress, as the staff are switched on. The first floor is wheelchair accessible.

A tight carpark BUT in a gorgeous place! The lake and playground along with the cafes are a great place for a bite to eat, a walk with a loved one, sit and feed the ducks and enjoy the surrounds of a tranquil lake! The fenced in playground is a great place to unleash the kidettes so they can hopefully lose some of that pent up energy!

Decent size car park.
Small playground.
Public toilets next to the boathouse including unisex and baby change area.
Nice spot for a picnic on the grassy area or at the tables. There are bins and dogs are welcome.
Mostly wheelchair, pram/stroller accessible.
Good spot to take photos of the lake.

Amazing place to hang around with friends, family and partner. There's a beautiful lake, and a forest full of magic. Nice walk into the nature. 100% recommended

Beautiful lake, very pleasant to walk around if you ignore the weeds (gorse, broom, blackberry etc) except where the expensive houses are!
And the toilets are dark and revolting.
A very pretty place let down by the council.

Quiet place to make a 3.6km walk around the lake. Even saw some turtles. Try the mineral spring along the way. It has a very unique taste.

Stunning place for a day trip from Melbourne. 50 mins drive from Melton. 50 mins splendid walk around the lake.enjoy the stunning nature, wildlife, birds, turtles, fish and simply the scenic views and breeze. Don't forgwt to take some awesome shots of the lake. Few mineral springs around the corner. Paddle boat $35 for half and hour. Probably the best activity while you're there. Follow the instructions regarding swimming: not allowed, cool currents, deep water. Saw a kid yabby fishing. Car park with e0 spaces approx. Public toilets available, a minute drive from Daylesford town centre. Keep a water bottle if doing the walking trails.

Must visit. Easy walk around the pretty lake. Quite popular. Can watch the people or the scenery. Lots of bird life and dune of it not afraid of people. Good walk for the kids and adults alike. Short drive or walk from town. Toilets at several spots around the lake.

It's either a brisk 30 minute walk or a gentle hour stroll but either way lake Daylesford is worth the effort, there are several spots with picnic tables as well
