La Svolta Pizzeria reviews
61I've been going hete for years for what I consider to be the best Italian style pizza in Melbourne.
Every time I'm in Melbourne.this is my happy food place.prices are so reasonable and the quality is unsurpassed.
Excellent pizza's and pasta's with lovely daily specials. A lunch special some days also. Really enjoy the Linguine di Mare, and have had a few other pasta's too, all hearty and nice. The polenta chips are amazing. Definitely a solid offering in Hampton. Wine recommendations a little off, but they have a decent list non the less.
Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, attentive wait staff, and they are also good looking which is a nice bonus!
I love the Maialona and Sopressa pizzas, and the Espresso Martini makes for a perfect dessert.
I was so impressed with the gluten free Verdure Pizza. The crust was light and smoky. It was so delicious and one the best gluten free pizzas I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back.
Polite and friendly staff, despite being busy wait times where not long. The food was delicious
Best pizza I ever had. Very beautiful and well cooked pizza, with proper ingredients. Perfect in shape, too. I love to have more. Really worthy day for me, thank u.
Great food Great Staff people care about you the owners are one of the nice people I have ever meet the live music is really good and good to have a dance to thank you the people of Lavolta
Very authentic Italian pizzeria. Domenico waited my table and was very polite, friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back
Great food and experience with our 2 little ones:)
Live singing on a Wed night aas amazing
The best pizza I've had in a long time. The flavour was amazing. Nice and spicy and to shelf ingredients. The base was exceptional.
After ten years of appreciating La Svolta’s restaurant. My family of six arrived at the restaurant for a birthday lunch.
The food was ok but the service was abysmal! What typically takes one and a half hours took three and a forty minute wait for a single birthday drink.
The staff simply had no clue what was going on! Patience is a virtue… not on this occasion! Absolute mess.
The adjacent table of ten were just as dissatisfied.
One of the best pizza’s restaurants in Melbourne
The pizzas are as good as Italy
Also has other great Italian food
Tonight food was good, but terrible table next to a fire hydrant, stairs to bathroom and under strange bright lighting… the female waitress was basically passive aggressive.not an enjoyable experience
On a whim tried to get into Fazio last night but were booked out. Wandered down the road and found La Svolta. Greeted by Sophia at the door and both the service and food was excellent.will return cento percento.
This is a fantastic family friendly restaurant. The food is excellent every time. Greatest restaurant in Hampton.
Great pizza.
Disappointed with polenta chips -no parmesan or truffle oil and needed a dipping sauce.
Cabbage salad also lacked flavour and again l couldn't see any parmesan
The pizza base was excellent, but other aspects were disappointing. Tables crammed in really close together, and the dining area felt overcrowded. Pizza toppings seemed cheap, at odds with the premium price and not consistent with the high quality base. Cavolo salad was tasteless, and it is hard to believe the menu's claim that the mayonnaise was "homemade". My glass of red was overpriced cheap wine, a bit stale and it's temperature was completely wrong. We spent quite a bit of money on a very average meal. La Svolta is doing better business than it deserves, seemingly giving as little as it can get away with for hard earned cash. A few years ago, this was fantastic, but it is now far flung from those days
I've edited this review to account for the fact that the cheap drink that I saw decanted was Woolworths lemonade, not mineral water. I apologise for my earlier error.
Delicious margherita pizza! Nice entrees and sides, though I felt the portion of polenta fries was a little small.
