La Porchetta Traralgon reviews
57 Supposed to open 11: 30 the server opened closer to 12.
After ordering our food, the server then went and had lunch with her partner, then walked him outside and chatted out there for a bit. No attention to anyone that was seated. Food was below average and I wouldn't recommend. I have been a regular, at least once a fortnight for a year. Will not be going back there.
Beautiful food and amazing staff, we go there every week, would give 10 out of 5 if possible
I used to love coming to La Porchetta. Went for dinner with my family last night and it was horrific. I ordered the Pollo E Avocado and a bowl of chips. The chips never came. And the pasta was disgusting. Filled with precooked frozen chicken that was reheated to go with the meal. It tasted foul. My siblings also tasted it and agreed. I tried picking out all the chicken but the taste was through the whole thing. I sent it back only for one of our servers to come up to ask who returned it. I explained that I did because the chicken tasted off and she then proceeded to tell us that she had tasted it and it tasted exactly as it should for frozen chicken. I was then offered an alternative meal but merely requesting the chips I'd originally ordered but had not come. When they finally arrived it was clear that they were cooked in a rush, as half of some of the chips were uncooked and still frozen. All and all, it was a major letdown, waste of money and I will no longer be dining here.
Dreadful food and very overpriced, service was okay but could have been alot better. Atmosphere was loud and cheap. Kids enjoyed the playground though.
Small meat lovers (+pineapple) and a cheesy garlic bread. Service was good, place was empty (Sunday ~6pm). Quality of the pizza/garlic bread below what I would expect for the prices. Lot of variability between different Laporchettas in the same state.
PASTA FROM HERE IS VERY YUMMY AND SIZE IS BIG.
BIG PLACE, CHILDREN FRIENDLY.
WILL GO BACK FOR DINNER AGAIN.
IF I HAVE A FRIEND MORE THAN 8/10 I CHOOSE THIS PLACE, SPACIOUS
THANK YOU FOR THE SERVICES.
My bad that I did not ask the price of broccoli pasta when I ordered for hungry grandchild on way home on long trip, (and no mention of cost by staff either, mind you) BUT $23.00 for a tub of spaghetti was totally unexpected, and frankly a bloody rip off. Never again. You've lost us.
Sweet staff tried to be helpful but the wine we ordered wasn't available, the non alcoholic beer I ordered was alcoholic, and instead of the large pizza we ordered we got 2 small pizzas as they had "run out" of large pizzas!? !?
Tonight's meal wasn't the best.my steak wasn't cooked right.the limone sauce seems like it has changed and the staff aren't as friendly as they used to be.
It was actually quiet cold in the restaurant. My daughters lasagne was very, very rich. I got the pumpkin rissoto but there was more cheese than pumpkin and my partner had the bolognese which he said tasted like it was made with just tomato paste so obviously very rich aswell. The staff were very friendly. A shame my experience tonight didnt match my childhood memories of going to la porchetta with my mum years ago. Now I understand why the restaurant was so empty at 7pm and why it now shut at 9pm instead of late.
Service was ok, we were told they are short staffed which I instantly felt bad for them as I could see the amount of bookings and only 2 floor staff.
During my time here both floor staff were doing fantastic given the circumstances.
Coffees were a bit average but the meals were delicious
My children love going here. There's a playground for the kids. The food is absolutely yummy. I recommend pasta or pizza from here.
I have only given 4 stars because whilst everything was just as expected, the dining room was bordering on uncomfortably warm. The Veal Parm was awesome
Had dinner tonight for a child's birthday party. Food was ok. Service was ok. But was surprised to see that they charged 50 cents per plate for the birthday cake to be served on. Unfortunately we didn't get actually plates but the cheapest paper plates possible with plastic spoons. Just heads up for anyone in the future don't make the same mistake!
Usually a really big fan of this restaurant and have loved the food everytime I’ve come. Made a table booking Sunday (for a table tonight on Melbourne Cup Day) and was told you were open today and accepted the booking. Drove 30 minutes to get here and you’re shut with not even a sign on the door. Highly unprofessional. I’m torn because I love the restaurant but I’m very annoyed by this.
My wife daughter and i went tonight for dinner. Tuesday. Quite a few people with kids out for birthdays and school holidays i think. The food was very good and plenty of it. Didnt have to wait long despite how busy they were. The service was excellent. Best vegan food in town. Well worth a visit.
Very average food - Chicken Parma.
Order took a long time to come out and was not worth the wait or money.
Myself and my family went for dinner last night for my sons birthday. The fact that they charge a surcharge to have some plates and spoons for cake is ridiculous. Especially when you are paying for main meals and drinks. I asked for bruchetta and to come out with the mains. I got it as an entree and it was a pizza.so then the table had to wait for their meals as it was the only entree. We asked the older lady to put bathirst on the TV a few time but she didn't know how to work the TV and made no attempt to help then said that the TV only has ABC.customer service was terrible.and for that. We won't be back.
Great food at good prices, they have lost their best waitress recently though but still good service. I quite often come here to have dinner or get take away and eat it at home.
Went there today, got grilled chicken breast came out terrible colour raw in areas couldn’t even eat any of it and cost $70 dollars wouldn’t even take it home for my dogs
