La Porchetta Lilydale reviews
65While the food arrived before the nominated time, the pasta was overcooked and the sauce lacked in flavour. If we had been dining in the restaurant we would have sent it back to the kitchen. Very disappointing, especially for the price.
Absolutely the best La Porchetta in Victoria.
Great variety of food, excellent quality, and even better service from a fantastic team run by dedicated owners. We have eaten there every week for the last eight months or so, and the standard is consistently brilliant.
I placed a takeaway order. Very friendly staff. Food was ready to pick up on time. Generous portion size. Food was hot and prepared with my additions as requested. I have ordered here before and will keep coming back. I highly recommend La Porchetta Lilydale
In store menu needs updating. Asap.
Ordered my pasta meal and thinking I was paying $19.90.
Then proceeded to pay the cost of $25.00.
Mmm I hope its not just been microwaved. Big price increase.
I Buy a pizza half Aussie half Hawaiian takeaway i asked for bacon rashes on top doesn’t look like bacon rashes too me just ham and I pay extra $ for it tell me if you don’t have it when I order.
I used to come here regularly back when my parents and siblings were able to, so this is the first time I dined in for a long time.
Unfortunately for disabled people, the main area is still upstairs so I am unsure about access. There is a ground level area inside but it looked unused.
There are actually only two pasta dishes I truly love, and they are the Alla Matriciana, and the carbonara. I usually only ever stick with entree serves, but even with this size, I struggle to fit it all in, especially if I get a lime bitters and a garlic bread.
For noodles, I always seem to order the gnocchi. Gnocchi is not something we do (think: almost never) so I take the opportunity to get it - the few times I go out anyway. And I never regret it.
I usually enjoy the place but it depends who else is eating there as well. Parents and kids are still the worst. No joke, this time there was some kid rearranging the chairs. Sometimes I think covid needed to be deadlier.
Great staff, lovely decor, but more importantly awesome food. Price is reasonable too. I'll be back.one day. Just prepare for the worst if you dine in, they get all sorts of families in there.
A restaurant is only as good as its last service! My family brought me to this La Porchetta for a lovely Mother’s Day dinner; I was looking forward to my marinara risotto (which we had the last time we were here & happens to be my usual dish at every other La Porchetta we’ve been to). The floor manager was rude and challenged us saying “in my 2 years working here, we would never have made any exceptions like your order”! Appalling manners ti say the least! I ended up changing my order to gluten-free marinara spaghetti; instead was given a VERY SALTY Napoletana only pasta which was hardly edible & cost over $25 for an entree size! Terrible service, terrible food - Not coming back!
We just had a dinner tonight at this perfect place. The service is very good. All the staff are very friendly. My little son also had a lovely time there. Thanks for treating us.
Had the west experience here really bad customer service, my partner and I came
I. The restaurant because it says they close at 9: 30, we walked in the guys down stairs said yes still open send them up the stairs, we where greeted by the lady with long hair she didn’t look to happy she said, you will need to get your order in as kitchen closes 9: 30, we said ok no problem, we arrived at about 9pm she came over took our order, I ordered pasta, my partner ordered a pizza, my chicken and avo pasta came
Out after say 10 mins, it was so bland the chicken was over cooked!
My partner pizza came out 5 mins later. The. The bigger waiter came over and said you have 10 mins to eat your food! As we are
Closing! My partner looked at me with shock,
They rushed us out the door he didn’t even get to eat half his pizza that was so oily and pizza base was more like a bread not pizza! Save your money and go els where shocking cooked by aussies who can’t cook
Was a great choice to take my daughter for her birthday food was great and staff very helpful and friendly
LOVED IT! Great food and great staff team. Will definitely go back, and not forget to leave a tip.
I ordered the carbonara pasta last night and today I’ve been in bed or on the toilet I won’t be ordering again
Absolutely disgusting! I ordered a simple pasta meal, it was dry and tasted microwaved. I returned it after a mouth full and I have never returned my food before! Even the water was warm! We asked for cold water and they said no and there was some sitting in the fridge right next to us. Staff were terribly rude and were also wearing thongs and trackies as there uniform!
I recently ordered takeaway. Delivery was prompt and the pizza good. A touch on the expensive side but a good experience.
Very frustrating that they mess me order EVERYTIME I eat there.
Basic service is so difficult to get right in this place.
This is for the, well l don't know what it was though you call it tiramuso, l don't know who makes that but they need to go back to learning the basics. What a waste of money, it was literally watery sponge of some sort disguised in cream, l would never recommend anyone buying it, so disgusting l had to throw it out, if l lived closer l would of come back & thrown it in the face of whoever slapped it together, how disgusting
Ordered a pizza and garlic bread came 40 mins early very nice hot and fresh the garlic bread was like a roll rather than pieces I ordered an aussie pizza very hot and fresh love to suport my local shops
One point for friendly wait staff
Vinegar flies flying around table a big turn off
Spag Bol was “ok”
Tortellini carbonara was overflowing with raw garlic giving it that distasteful tang
Ordered for dine in, I should have suspected when the lady with no smiles dropped the pasta from my head level on to the table in a take away container. Took a bite of the pasta, and spat it back in the container. Easily 2-3 day old food which was microwaved.it was sloppy and watery inside like the front yard of an un-landscaped house on a rainy day. 2 marks for the effort the lady tried to re-heat a old frozen dish. Not sure if it’s part of the experience, that one bite took me to the extremes of hot and cold.it’s a combination of mount Buller and molten lava in the same spoon. Worth the 25 dollars for that experience itself. I didn’t even have the guts to complain after such an appalling taste and attitude. Walked away silently. Silver line -intermittent fasting is good for you - my empty stomach mumbled!
Staff were super friendly. Unfortunately upstairs on the left wall near the window, there was spaghetti stuck to the wall where we were seated, it was a bit gross.
