La Porchetta Geelong

All the staff were very nice and friendly. The food was delicious, there was nothing left on our plates. There was ample food and we certainly didn't leave hungry. Well done all involved and a big thank you.
The only downside is the toilets need attention and our table wobbled until I put a napkin under it

The attitude of the Manager is absolutely disgraceful. I had booked my daughters birthday and at that booking I specifically asked that one table was for my husband and myself and the other for the rest of the group. He immediately became aggressive and said that he was fully booked and he couldn't do anything about it. To be honest if he spoke to me in a decent manner in the first place I probably wouldn't have minded. We ordered drinks for the girls and when they had not received them 30 minutes later I questioned it. And of course they had forgotten the order. Halfway through our booking Manager had a change of heart and set the tables as I had asked for. He also offered us free garlic bread. I hadn't complained to get free stuff but the funny thing is we didn't even get the FREE garlic bread. We had dinner there the week before and he asked us how our meals were and we were honest. Even though we had problems with our meals then we decided that we would still go ahead with this booking as sometimes things go wrong. But after the aggressiveness of management we will not be back. Customer service goes a very long way!

What can I say about this place other than the shining star of a server that is Milly and her amazing service.
Never a dull moment or a missed conversation with that one. World needs more people like her that's for sure.
Food is amazing but the staff are even better!

My girlfriends and I went to La Porchetta last week and the experience was incredible! The food was absolutely delicious. The garlic bread was mouthwatering and reminded me of my childhood in Italy. Afterwards I went home and told my husband George about how good the food was. We were served by the waitress Eloise and she was so lovely and helpful. Great customer service and friendly staff. I will defiantly be taking George and my son Steve back soon.

Went here on the weekend and had a fabulous time. The aesthetic of the place is really nice! The food sizes are a big too big and the hospitality was amazing. Was served by a young girl with pink glasses, she was lovely and had a smile on 24/7.

The waiter Guy is so nice. He took took time out of the very busy night to make sure we had all of our food and that we were all good for drinks. Amazing food and amazing staff.

Their meals have gotten worse! Last few times I have been, we hardly touched the food because it was horrible. It's gone down hill badly. Won't be coming back anymore!

First visit and will definitely be back. Portions are huge and the food is very tasty. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Tables are clean and the place has a great atmosphere.

I don’t think I have had a more enjoyable dinner experience in a long time. Fantastic staff and fantastic food. 10/10.

Had lunch with my wife and it was very good. The serve was awesome, we each had the fish and chips. The pieces of fish were quite large and the shoestring fries were delicious. The staff were very friendly and polite.

It's always hard to have a meal out with allergy issues. But the waitress was so helpful and understanding with our issues. She needed to check with the kitchen (just to be sure) which we thanked her for. Also she came back to check everything was okay with our meals. So nice to be looked after with allergies rather than brushed off. Thank you so much for your attention to detail. We will be back soon.

Took my daughters aged 5 and 7 here for a spur of the moment dinner before the Geelong AFLW game. What a great experience! Staff were 10/10, cannot speak highly enough of them. Aside from being lovely people, they all went out of their way to make sure my girls were entertained with colouring in, etc. Went in with zero expectations and came out knowing we will become regulars. Can't go wrong with La Porchetta. Such a classic Aussie-Italian restaurant with the best in quick and friendly service. The food is delicious and exactly what you'd expect. Price range is spot on for value. Honestly love the place and have tried many of the chains in Victoria and they haven't disappointed.
Edit 2021: How the mighty have fallen. What a true disappointment my most recent order was. I ordered the pollo e fungi with tortellini and the original porchetta pizza. The sauce for the pasta was bland and watery; a far cry from the thick, rich and creamy, lightly caramelised sauce they used to make. The pasta was not al dente, it was still raw.
The pizza was very scarce on sauce and loaded with way too much sausage and cheese and the basil tasted foul. I literally went keto after eating this nonsense.
Don’t waste your money here.

Ordered 3 course meal online for takeaway pick up. Couldn't believe how quick the meal was ready! Meal was delicious & Steak was cooked beautifully.

One of the best places in Geelong to eat, definitely underrated! Food is always quality with amazing flavours and just enough variety for anyone to enjoy! Speak to Shaun the manager, best person to be running this place, he's such an amazing worker, keep it up mate!

Order was 20 minutes late
Food was soggy, cold and inedible
Contacted the restaurant and was told by employee Shaun he could remake the food but would be a while to get to me so I asked for my order to be refunded which we told me he would contact menulog to do that.
I've contacted menulog only to discover that Shaun did contact them and had refused to refund my money after promising me on Tuesday evening when I spoke to him that it would happen.

I've had so many great experiences with this restaurant but unfortunately something as bad as this will make me think twice before ordering from them again

Won’t not come back at all. Our drinks were on the bar for over 10minutes our food then came out half an hour later garlic bread was burnt. Kids meals took a lot longer to come out aswell.
