La Ionica Poultry

Coming from an Italian background you tend to sometines continue the same traditions your parents exposed you too growing up.

This is my 'go to' for freshly grated parmesan cheese, different sized buckets of ovolini/boconcini (white cheese in water).

L'Ionica has now become a 'one stop shop'. They started out as just a fresh chicken retailer.over the years they have evolved and now have a smorgasbord of different cuts of chicken or other meats, pre-marinated, crumbed, stuffed fresh for you to take home and just cook. They have done the hard work for.so you can just enjoy your meal.

On entry to the store they also have fresh fruit & vegetables and product ranging from an Italian groceries (that I am accustomed to) to fresh or aged dairy products, pre-packaged meals, dry food products and a small deli with lunch meat and snacks.

It has changed from just being a chicken shop. I was able to find other bits a pieces, like lettuce and rock salt.lol

They are always ao friendly here. Always carry my box of chicken necks for me. There produce is fresh never had an issues

They have it all. Very friendly everything is fresh. Fresh Fresh and not just chicken. Hat's off to you

Staff unskilled in customer services, they are never smiled, who ever supervised them should train them to welcome and smile to the people, and must use their professionalism way if they are,

The person behind the counter ignoring my number and just start to serve the second person just walk behind me and never calling the number, is rude and unskilled,

Great quality meat and poultry no doubt!
But staff are not that friendly. Most of them look so passive and just trying to get by. No smile, just prefer to be busy behind the counter than serving the customers.

No more Bleach flavor. I can't eat another chicken. Due to the quality prices are a bit higher then $4 a chicken (which I find very suspicious!) You can buy a chicken (20) for $ 13 which is really cheap.
Lots of options in pieces (High thigh skin on /off, Maryland (open no bone etc etc)

Terrible customer service from front desk/cashier. I went last Tuesday and I signed in their QR book at the front of the store then proceeded to the back of the shop. Half way there she starts screaming to sign in.really poor behaviour, rather than greeting the customer first and then politely asking. I told her that I did already and not the way to engage customer. Prices are high whilst service is poor. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place.

I always buy my chicken from here. I only buy free range and im always happy they even cut my chicken breast for snitzhel. Very fresh. There continental sausages are really nice also.

Been buying chicken here for years now, fresh and tasty compared to other places.

However, been noticing that they mix old/ poor quality chicken from time to time. Very disappointed with the management for betraying their loyal customers.

Hope this review makes them change their mindset and provide quality and fresh chicken always!

Good cheap chicken and beef products. Great prices for bulk buying. Support local. You'll get great prices here on all and any chicken product at excellent quality.

Best quality chicken and only one in Melbourne to be processed chemical free. I will never buy a different brand.

Getting expensive $11 per kg for budget chicken fillets but you can buy it at $ 7 per kg, same company supplier, in local butcher shop. Why the rip off in its public store?

I have understood for years that La ionica chicken had no added hormones or chemicals. I have now had a hormonal reaction in my body which reduced when I stopped eating the chicken. Don't think this can be good for the body. Now a search to find genuine hormone free chicken.

Having fresh chicken, lamb it’s good for chicken lovers
If you go in the morning hours it’s better and the prices good and reasonable

I have been shopping from La ionica for a long time now. In the last two months, I have been absolutely disappointed by the poor quality of the chicken I buy; it stinks so we have had to add so much saffron and cinnamon to make it edible and bearable. This last week, it was the last time I ever shopped here.

Gets pretty busy on Saturdays and expect to wait about 10 minutes to get served. Just remember to take a number as you enter the chicken/meat section as you have to wait for your number to get called. Fairly good pricing and if you buy bulk its pretty economical

There is nowhere else to go to get the best chicken ever it is not the way it's presented because A1 presented the freshness beautiful taste whatever your heart desires it is staring don't know further Merry Christmas and Happy New Years god bless you all

Stick to chicken.maybe. Within a week of buying a bag potatoes they began to sprout. Tomatoes, just as bad. Bring your seconds home and YOU EAT IT! Another example of big business making a grab for every penny they can muster.and spare me the lame excuses or a response. "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me"

Very bad customer service at epping plaza store.i think the staff need better training on how to deal with customers.
