Food is good, but they surcharge extra on Saturday where is not mentioned anywhere. Also everywhere extra surcharge is on Sunday or public holidays.
Keep an eye when you pay your bill, because you find surprising.
Just ripped you off.
Pay your orders with cod on table and avoid bad surprising.

I love this place and the food and drinks. So much better than other Mexican joints. Great and affordable options to choose from whether it’s a function menu or regular eating.

Look, there's one simple rule to getting Mexican food right: Don't serve pub food because you're desperate for business. Looking at La Cabra's shallow menu it's got 'loaded' fries, onion rings and burgers!? !? WTH? That's about as Mexican as Ned Kelly! On top of that, their salsa is canned, the shrimp and fish tacos are made from frozen and the beer is warm. Seriously, the Mornington Hotel is across the street, just go there and ask for hot sauce, the outcome will be better AND cheaper

Was here for dinner a few weeks back. Tacos are good and so is the enchilada. The birra tacos were not good at all, the stew was thick which is not how it should be.
Monday's they have a margarita special, but you can't taste the alcohol in the drinks at all, could pass as a mocktail.
Overall if you want mexican it's probably the better option to go to in the area.

This place has lost its vibe since new ownership, cocktails are literally cordial you ask for them to be stronger or if they have actual alcohol in then and you get a story on how the ice make is less noticeable, when you ask them to fix it then put MORE cordial in it! $60 for a jug pf cordial.instead of margarita!

The food is sooo average, the fish taco is a frozen battered fish flake from the supermarket that was heated halfway through with a squiggle of mayo - im assuming the aioli mayo from woolies… with a line of not hot Chillies, the pork Taco again was a piece of
Pork char grilled to dryness with a squiggle of sauce it was absolutely terrible. $9 a taco for one filling.

The guacamole and chips was an absolute rip
Off - the guacamole bowl was a 50cent diameter by 2cm deep and the same as this “tomato topping bowl “ so for four ppl it was literally 3 chips

Every time you spoke to the manager for help or to ask for some thing to be better he just gave you a drawn out speel of some random answer and then walked away.

This place is terrible and i don’t recommend it at all, the old owners had of thriving and tasted amazing nows its a disaster and id steer absolutely clear! Ita not worth it at all.

Mine and my boyfriend’s chicken was uncooked. The bone and chicken from the buffalo chicken wings was pinky red and his wrap chicken was still raw. Never coming here again. I got food poisoning

Lovely staff and food.
We have been to many and this one is one of the best. Reasonably priced and flavourful. The drinks are really well done.will come back

I ordered 3x dishes from uber eats from this restaurant for the first time.
Oh my, all three dishes were just superb to say the least!
Every single bite was an explosion of mmmm factor.
I was so impressed - been so long since I have experienced such exquisite food art! I'm talking about the perfect marriage of ingredients that honours each dish.
Texture perfect.
Was quite expensive (however it was a delivery on a public holiday).
I don't eat out very often at all, but I would be delighted to save with a duty to share all the love and passion this restaurant boasts look forward to thank you

Restaurant looks fresh and modern
Service was friendly and prompt.
We were given the wrong dish and immediately they realised their error and left the dish for the table free of charge - and served the correct dish promptly.
Food was tasty, fresh and fast.
And we could split the bill - always a bonus!

Tastiest Mexican food on the Peninsula! The nachos & chicken burrito were really fresh & bursting with flavour. Absolutely delicious. Staff very friendly & attentive too; well run place that we will be back to for sure… really want to try the tacos!

Staff were lovely and the vibe is good. Unfortunately we had the driest enchiladas I've had in a very long time, both the chicken and the beef. Corn was nice. Not authentic Mexican.

Very nice food and service, but found it expensive (unfortunately got a feeling we were overcharged) $90 for 2 margaritas 1 entree nachos and a main enchilada?

Be care when eating here, they don’t include gst on there food items on the menu and they have a Saturday night fee. Like what even is that and they don’t tell you until you pay at the till, no pre warning.
Very Disappointed overall

Came here last night for a birthday dinner and everyone thought it was the best Mexican they’ve ever tasted. Thank you so much for the delicious food will definitely be coming back

We loved the food. Great value for money and serves are very generous. The churros are delicious. I am originally from Spain and can say those churros are serious competition for ours in Spain
