Kywong Caravan Park reviews
25Great park. We stayed for 5 nights on a powered caravan site. Great bushland setting. Ammenities are well maintained and clean. Hot water a plenty. Good camp kitchen. Simpsons Landing boat ramp is near by with picnic tables and a small beach on the North side of the landing. Would stay again.
A lovely quiet Bush camp with wonderful Management. Clean, neat & tidy. I highly recommend Kywong Caravan Park?
Sites are a little rugged and don't expect modcons, but this is a lovely bush/nature camp
Beautiful place to stay. Quiet, smell of the gum trees Beautiful. Visit from kangaroos in the morning.
The staff is really helpful and caring they always there if you need help on a question about the caravan park nice and friendly too there customers who comes in and out
Nice, very quiet park set in a bush setting. Close to the National Park. Plenty of birds. Good amenities & playground for the kids. Lovely place to stay.
Great park in the bush setting friendly caretakers very quiet at night and no pets allowed great amenities we have stayed here several times
Great place to stay, the managers Gordon and Allison terrific people. Supposed to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 6 nights because of lock down. Highly recommend.
Stayed for one night, simple but really nice vibe and really lovely owner who helped us out with lots of things. Very convenient for crossing the border!
A great campsite.a variety of camp type on offer with a bonus baby room facility. Lots of room, great walks nearby, river, beaches and the fishing is great!
Another very well maintained caravan park close to the river - it was so clean and nice generous space for powered sites.
Excellent service considering we were a not booked in and last minute show up due to other site not having room though we booked in. Great amenities and clean. We took an unpowered site and it felt like we were in bush still not at caravan park. Wildlife are cheeky and visit at night and morning.
Facilities could be improved but it is ok. Great spot if you like fishing. Grassed sites most a goid size
Nice spot, large park, great camp kitchen, amenities, playground, tho i did laugh to myself as i reckon a really fat dude would struggle to fit in shower entrance
Powered sites are grassy/shadered and mostly level, the reserved unpowered are better than general unpowered, which is quite sandy and slopey for the most part.
Take a walk down Casuarina grove to the river, excellent cliff top walks in either direction.
Nelson is lovely, great boating, fishing, kayaking.princess Margaret caves a few kms away too
We had a really enjoyable stay at Kywong; we managed to get a generous sized site right near the playground to keep the kids happy. The site taps apparently aren't for drinking from, but there was a tank of rain water near the female toilets and a quick trip with the drinking drum solved my water problems.
The toilets/showers themselves are clean with a punch lock on the door of each toilet block requiring a code.
The camp kitchen is decent, featuring a microwave, stove and several barbecues. There is no oven, but a blast on the microwave followed by a burn on a barbecue plate sorted out my needs.
Wildlife comes and goes from the park at dawn and dusk, if you're quiet you can usually get fairly close to the kangaroos for a photo.
There are no waste drains on each site and no dump point on the park, but it still earned a 5* with everything else on offer. Didn't hurt having friendly staff either.
Our visit was during off peak and at $28 a night, this park is awesome value and a lovely place to stay.
Absolutely love this place.great park.friendly and helpfull caretakers.clean and well set out.something for everyone
Terrific caravan and camping ground. Fantastic friendly hosts. Close to river and not far from Nelson town. Teally nice place.
Nice park with clean amenities. Owners are friendly. We get to see wild animals when the site is not crowded. Less than 5mins drive to lovely beaches where you can catch pipis.
Very friendly helpful managers. Large grass sites, clean amenities, no pets allowed as theres lots of wild life. 1 klm from Nelson, close to boat ramp. Use as base to explore Mt Gambiers lakes which are only 40ks from Nelson
Very welcoming & friendly managers. Nice park, not on river but not far from it. Large grass sites. Nice camp kitchen, clean amenities. No pets aloud as there's plenty of wild life around. Small kiosk in town or 40ks to Mt Gambier for shopping.
