Kyabram Club reviews
52Easy-going RSL type bistro, good range of menu items, something for everyone. I ordered the scotch fillet steak with chips & vegies, cooked perfectly medium-rare. Great value for $40.00. Would return again, thanks for great service.
Excellent service and very friendly staff. The food was great value x tasted great to. Will definitely go again next time we're in town.
Great venue for commercial travellers to have dinner and meet locals.
A very enjoyable evening.
8 of us had meals at the club and all said they were very good after waiting for an hour. They found a table inside for us when the mossies got to much outside in the alfresco area. We were impressed.
Service excellent given how busy they staff were. Food looked amazing with generous portions so take a doggy bag as they do not supply one (policy). Sadly the Soof crab burger tasted a tad bland but chips were expertly cooked. The silverside was dry (almost jerky dry) and odd in colour and the veges were clearly overcooked. The mudcake was again tasteless but the icing made up for that.
Went there last night with my family I had the T-bone steak that's was the most foul steak I ever had in my life. My one year son had the kids meal chicken nuggets with chips and veg he wouldn't even touch it at all and his a good water we can buy black and gold nuggets and he will eat that. The veg was rock hard you can break a window with it. Would never go back again I wouldn't even recommend this place to eat at YUK. I wouldn't even give the meal that was cooked to my dog.
On arrival, initial impressions were that the venue was well-appointed, but very busy. I could almost forgive the slow service, but not the poor quality of the meals.
I ordered a 350g T-bone steak with pepper sauce, expecting decent quality for the high price of $38. It turned out to be only about 10-12mm thick and not very flavoursome - supermarket quality meat at a steakhouse price! The sauce, fortunately served in a small side bowl, was a runny concoction tasting more like a red wine jus with flecks of what appeared to be capsicum - their idea of 'pepper', completely unlike the creamy peppercorn sauce I was expecting. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd have used frozen chips. My mate had a meal of duck legs and also commented that it was rather overcooked and dry.
Funnily enough, a couple of days later we were driving past another pub in the area and dropped in for a drink (as you do). Noting that it was Steak Night that night (and wanting to remind ourselves what a decent steak tastes like) we booked a table straight away. As we told the barman about our poor experience at the Kyabram Club, an old gentleman at the bar croaked, 'Yeah, their meals are sh! T'. Far better quality there for only about $30, including a glass of beer/wine!
Started off so well; we had booked outside because they were full but got bumped to an indoor table. We appreciated that given it was 36° outside!
The menu wasn't very inspiring.
Sold out before 6.30pm on the one starter that looked good (Camembert dumplings).
Lined up with social distancing for the bar, then a bunch of men crowded up to the bar and when the lady in front of me mentioned we were there first & queuing the bartender got snarky about it and was very rude to my friends afterward.
Specifically asked for well done steak and it was written on my order. Steak showed up medium at best. I couldn't eat it.
Chicken in the sweet&sour chicken was questionable.
We went there because nothing else was open. The servers were lovely, but overall the experience was disappointing.
Amazing meals, fantastic value for money. Great vibes and friendly staff. We love this place and drive 1hr just to get there!
A nice meal that was very filling. Male bar staff were quite rude when it was pointed out that people were cuing in a covid safe manor rather than crowding around the bar. Female staff were very nice and accommodating.
An amazing family friendly venue with something for everyone. Stylish, clean and modern. Friendly staff. Great food and beverages. Machines and playgrounds. A jewel in Kyabram.
Very much enjoyed our lunch at the club. Very well organised with covid restrictions. Look forward to our next visit.
Good service but food was cold and small portions. Sign in and covid 19 signs everywhere stay 1.5 meters apart but then sat at a table less than 1 meter from other patrons was not busy not even half full. No dogie bag for my elderly parents told no because of covid very poor.
Had bad experience last sat nite in sports bar very rude and obnoxious paatron spoilt nite otherwise food great service in bistro great
Great value for money. Plenty of gluten free! Retro decor. Very good service. The roast of the day was delicious.

Welcoming & very organised for members to dine with friends. Lovely meals & great value - should have shared the plate. Quality & quantity in abundance.
