KT MART CITY SHOP2 reviews
30Huge variety, good korean stuff. The boy there was very nice and helpful but the lady on the cash counter was so rude. 2 star is only for that boy.
This is not true for all Korean supermarkets, but it seems like they need to use staff who can speak basic English and friendly English. Every time I visit, I feel embarrassed. I feel embarrassed and what? I can see all the expressions on the faces of foreign customers.
I come here very often and there is one short long black hair lady that is always working there is extremely out of normal sense. Whenever people come in, she is always just walking around and not even helping any customer, her English is so bad that I see many customers struggle to communicate with her; despite the fact that she can’t even speak English, she tries to “teach” customers languages.
I don’t see any point to behave this rude at such small grocery store. She is working there almost every day and whenever I see her or seeing how she is treating her coworkers and customers make me feel so uncomfortable!
Wait for so long to check the price of Papaya, and told me $6.5 for one. So expensive it is a double from other shop
Great store, huge variety, mainly east and south east asian products. Snacks and drinks in the front, cooking ingredients and freezer section in the back.
Closer to the heart of the city than its sister branch up the street.
The cashier who attended to me was nice and friendly. Would come back for the convenience.
KT Mart has a great variety of Filipino products ranging from Datu Puti sauces to Piattos and Tender Juicy hotdog. They also have frozen saba and classic Filipino chips.
The shop is bigher than it looks like. It has quite a variety of choices
Finding some expired items on the shelf is never a good experience. Found bottles of yogurt with BEST BEFORE 6/02/2023 so it's been a month now its 07/03/23 and it's still on the shelf. Hence the 2 star rating.
A well-stocked place with a wide variety of items and friendly staff on Elizabeth St. The shop can feel a little bit crammed with narrow paths in between the aisles, otherwise it was a nice experience for me. The prices are reasonable, and I found a few new items worth exploring later.
The previous time I went was okay experience. Lots of variety of food. But today was a disaster. I wanted to buy a vermicilli noodle which was $2.99 on the label and the lady charge me $3.29.so I told her to check and change the price to $2.99 which was labelled on the display or even give me free but I honestly am happy if she change the price to the labelled $2.99.however, she told me to not buy it as she will not change the price. I was so disapointed and upset at the attitude. Very bad!
I came out to buy one item that I need today and it was there on the rack. And then they said they can’t scan it so can’t sell it what the hell? Even didn’t apologize for inconvenience. Still don’t understand so many products without price tag for long long time and they put the item which they can’t sell. No make sense at all.
Large korean grocery store. They nearly have anything you would need, even hotpot and korean bbq meats! Bought daechang and gopchang in there. Just 4 stars for now as the Filipino aisle was nearly empty and ran out when i got there. Hoping they stock up more next time.
Probably the best variety you can get for mainly Korean groceries. The range of stuff, sufficient lighting and overall cleanliness is appreciated. Only complaint is the space, which consists of mostly narrow aisles, and checking out is also a narrow space.
This place has the best range of foods and drinks. The soju being sold here is only $7 and $3-6 cheaper than other convenience stores.
A very large store with lots or variety. I found most things I was looking for, lots of Korean products were there. However, I couldn't find the Thai 3pm tea I enjoy.
Impossible to get around the store if using a pram or wheelchair. Couldn't go past the entrance because of how they leave boxes in the middle of the aisles. Super disappointing
I just went to purchase some mirin that was on special $3.99 but when I went to the counter said it was $6.99…I said the label said it was on special so they asked the store assistant to go check…he was taking a while so I went to look and he took the special price sticker off and tried to pretend it was never there.
Customer is always wrong
Probably one of the best asian grocers in the CBD. Store is bright and clean, also variety of food is very good.
Product selection: 5
Cleanliness: 4.5
Front register staff: 1 or Poor
From a manager of 14 year in hiring and mentoring perspective during a busy line with 3 counters active on Tuesday 5/7 evening
- Speed was quick as stuff was rushing sales to go through
- 2 of 3 staff portraying hasty attitude while rushing, rude when speaking to customers prior to us and also to us on 2 separate sales/groups
Not sure if it’s the way of a Korean/Asian style business overseas, staff shortage that there’s no one else to choose from, or management trying to push staff to rush and they are overworked and having a bad day, it’s definitely not how we work here.
All the best.
Holy heck this place is incredible, it's gigantic and has everything you could could possibly want from an Asian grocer. Take out two hours to really scooe the entire place out. New favourite Asian grocer in Melbourne CBD for sure.
Staff cant even wait for 2 secs for us to recall the member's number.very bad service attitude, doesn't have any patience on customers while there is no one behind us, almost "yelled" at us.very rude and need improvement on staff attitude towards customers.would not mind to spend extra dollars at other place.
Staff is unprofessional and needs to be trained.
