19Very warm and welcoming environment with such yummy food:) such kind staff who were so attentive.would definitely come again!
Eating here is less like going to a restaurant and more like being invited into someone’s home, in a really good way. Such a wonderful welcome and a lovely easy vibe. Then there’s the food. Our orders took some time to arrive even though we were one of only two occupied tables, so you can be reassured it’s all being cooked fresh. When the food arrived it was gobsmackingly good, seriously tasty, clearly cooked with passion and care. We shared mushroom pakora, gobi Manchurian and a kadai paneer. All generous portions and delicious. I can’t wait to go back to this little gem of a place.
Best Indian food I've ever had (and I've tried a lot). Their vegan malai kofta and tofu garlic naan is incredible.
I ordered palak paneer and the palak (spinach) they used was the frozen one which they charge 16 dollars.
How can anyone cook the frozen and packed spinach in a restaurant after charging 16 dollars.
And I asked the owner when im paying the bill, he said that the fresh spinach has got dirt and mud in it.
I never went back again.
Love this place! The staff are so friendly and it’s amazing to have such a good vegan and vegetarian restaurant on Barkly St.
The Best Indian Food ever. I am not a Vegan but I drive 25 Klms for the food. Service is excellent. Don't judge a book by it's cover.:)
Best restaurant I ever visited in Melbourne. Food is nice excellent customer service friendly management.
First time dining at Krishna on Barkly since we moved to the area, definitely a gem of Footscray!
Shashi's cuisine is authentic and delicious, her staff is kind and attentive. Be ready to feast in a true family owned indian restaurant.
Fantastic all vegetarian menu, soooo many options. Will be back for sure to try them all:)
The best Indian food I have tried in Melbourne! Went with the staff recommendations the paneer curry and a jackfruit curry which was so so so delicious. Will 100% go back and be recommending to friends. Friendly service, and a warming venue to sit in. A must try! Thank you:)
Warm ambience for family and cosy catchup. Food are beautiful and the owners are very friendly. I really appreciate vegetarian and vegan food done beautifully like this.
Loved the Food and A Very Welcoming People
A Must Visit For Everyone Who Is A Food Lover
Awesome food. Great Vegan place! Been wanting to come here for some time. Will definitely be back
Amazing.
Easily the best vegan meal I've ever eaten and one of the best meals I've had all round.
The Samosa, Samosa Chaat, Vegetable Kofta, Vegetable Korma and garlic naan were all absolutely amazing and the peaceful, friendly atmosphere makes you feel like you're enjoying a family dinner in someone's home.
Highly recommended.
We had an amazing experience tonight. ShaShi was so welcoming of us, and we can’t believe it was a full vegan menu! We were spoilt rotten. You must try this place. Will be back again! Ps My daughter loves Bollywood now thanks to our dinner tonight
Best kadai paneer I've ever had! And what gorgeous staff, will definitely be a regular visitor now:)
My partner and my favourite restaurant! Tasty food and friendly owners who make you feel like you're part of the family!
Krishna is hands down the best Indian food in Melbourne, even better that it's vegan. I have tried most of the menu and its all exceptional! Great service too
Amazing experience! Menu was a plethora of too many good things to try. Everything was able to be made vegan. What we did try was SUPER DELICIOUS (espesh Ghobi Manchurian and Baingan Bhaji, YUM). Service was so lovely from the family who runs the business. Will be back to try more!
