Kookai Brighton

Huge thank you to the ladies that work here. I've shopped at a number of Kookai stores, but Brighton is my absolute favourite. All the girls are always helpful and always pleasant. I never feel pressured to purchase anything I'm not in love with and they are always happy to grab something that's brand new, from the back, if it's available.

Brunette girl that was standing at dressing rooms today, bad attitude and looked like she couldn’t be bothered. Shoves herself to the clothing racks with no excuse me or any sort of politeness. The rest of the girls were good.

I was chasing a particular dress/size and colour not available on line or anywhere in Sydney. Alex went out of her way to help me find a way to get the dress interstate in time for our teen daughter to wear it for a special occasion. V much appreciated given our miserable NYE lockdown.

The last time I visited the Brighton Kookai I was in love with a pink dress but didn’t feel I would often wear it. One of the girls, I think she was the manager put me in a matching short and blazer combo and now everyone at work knows it as my power suit. I visited earlier in the week and even when times are tough the Brighton girls are creating a positive environment and still giving their same amazing service.

The sales people at the store were so rude to me. I am assuming it's because I'm a person of colour, because they were acting as if I could not afford their garments or I would steal something. I know that this store is in a very "white" neighbourhood, but I was geniunely uncomfortable in the store and the sales people didn't actually acknowledge me, but they were looking at me up and down and observing my every move as if I was a criminal. I bought my stuff online and it saved me from having to look at those nasty, self-absorbed snobs at your boutique.

EASILY HAD A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE AT KOOKAI IN BRIGHTON:

Having left it to the last minute and being at an utter loss as to what to wear for an event, I was fortunate enough to come across a young lady called Alex. She listened to my paranoia and preferences and came up with some great ideas. Attentive to my qualms and quibbles as I tried things on, she presented a stellar outfit that worked in every way straight off the bat.

What leads me to take the time to write this review, in particular though, is that she was honest when I headed in the wrong direction. It was like I was shopping with a close friend. Many thanks Alex at Kookai Brighton. My anxiety has been put to rest!

Friendly staff very knowledgeable and good range of clothing if you're a chick but for a guy well lol not much here but my wife Jessica goes there a lot and unfortunately she drags me along with her!
