36 Great place.
You don't feel like you are in Ringwood east when you walk in.
It's beautiful and the food was great.
Cocktails not the best but everything else is amazing
Great food, mid week lunch, it was very quiet. Food was delicious and quicky, drinks were great.
Give it a try if you are around, not sure of hours.
This was a very unexpected impressive experience. Very efficient service & the food was great.
Lovely food and service.
0/5 to the man who left after his son vomited on the floor and didn't clean it up, but not before grabbing a takeaway container and packing what was left of his meal.
I hope he sees this and feels ashamed.
Very nice little restaurant with delicious food, however the serves are very small (I'm a small eater, but these meals were tiny!) Also very expensive. Service not great, waited a long time after eating but didn't get offered any desserts or any extra drinks, dishes were not cleared from the table until after we left.
One of our local favourite eateries. The food is always delicious & service always friendly from Kate & her team.
Our go to dishes are pork gyozas, edamame, teriyaki chicken with rice & save room for the nutella gyozas for dessert. They are the best.
Food was incredible. In particular I personally loved the tuna tataki, sweet potato gyoza and tuna sashimi. Overall everything was delicious and the space is so inviting with all of the beautiful plants.
Consistently amazing. So glad they’re local for us. Highlights are the eggplant, crab and sashimi don dishes, with a shout-out to the karaage, pork gyoza and corn fritters. Don’t go past the ice-creams too!
We love this place. Relaxing atmosphere, great service and the food is always sensational. Thankyou, we will be back soon.
Excellent, exceptional and the food was delicious.
The restaurant has an relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We love Japanese cuisine and their food was impressive.
I have been going here for 5 years, and the food has always been good. I ordered takeaway around 5 pm. The Extreme Edamame has no chilli or sesame and many of the pods were burnt. (Thanks Kate ; found the sesame oil at the bottom of the container) They had “run out “ of Tuna Tataki. The Karagee chicken was ok, however the batter was soggy. Ordered Salmon Sashimi; very nice and fresh. Thanks Kate for your prompt response. I will definitely try again.
Really nice little place for dinner with the girls the food was beautiful and the service was great will come back here
Fusion Japanese food, but in a way worse than the authentic one. Ordered several dishes, 2 are salty and the rice is cold and hard. As for service, the older lady is not that friendly. It's not worth the price.
Dined in for local dinner, we had chicken teriyaki, miso eggplant and prawn dish with side of rice. Everything was amazing! Saucy, delicious and fresh. We ordered the espresso whisky chocolate mousse - I will return to dine in just to have this agin - sensational!
I love this place, the edamame was packed with flavour. Me and the family loved it. Would recommend and come again.
Disappointing.
We started with soft shell crab, seemingly a crab severed in half. Waaay too much salt to taste anything else. Salt, with a hint of crab.
Moved on the the "Ikakari" squid. The sauce made them taste like they were rolled in sugar and salt before being drenched in oil. Squid chunks remarkably similar to frozen product from Aldi. No delicate squid flavour at all, just the overpowering sauce.
How bad? My companion called "done" with just 1/3 eaten. We tried to wring the oil out of what remained. I managed to wring and down the rest. But very disappointing.
After this, we requested clean bowls so the oil slick and remnant crab brain-juice wouldn't interfere with the promising next course. This request was obliged most diligently and expediently by the friendly wait staff.
Finally, the sashimi dom. Utterly delicious. A mix of tuna and salmon, piled onto a mound of rice with a sensible level of sauce, garnished with shredded nori. Wasn't expecting presentation of a "heap" when ordering sashimi. But it was certainly tasty and the salt was well backed off.
I thought your wine markup was too high. Stay under 3x retail. $12 / glass for a bottle I had bought for $15 is unreasonable.
So damn much salt. And oil. Blerggh.
Will I return? No.
It's a cozy little Japanese fusion cafe/restaurant. The food is pretty average except for the eggplant. I don't know what they put in the sauce but holy moly it tastes good.
I would recommend stay away from the steak, it's not really the place to order steak. The soft shell crab is good with a nice flavour. The rice is soft and fluffy and it goes well with the eggplant and the sauce.
Basically just order the eggplant.
This place is a local gem. If you are looking for a great Japanese place out east definitely make this your go to!
Great work guys. Nicely balanced flavors, generous service, great value in a modern clean environment. Will definitely be back!
It was amzing, the people there were kind and had great custemer survice, i rekomend it and would go back any time.
