Koko Black - Como Centre reviews
23 Yesterdays visit to Koko Black was very disappointing. I could have gone there earlier for my hot chocolate but they shut at 5pm and I left it to 4: 30pm so there was plenty of time before close.
When I went in, I was informed that they were no longer serving hot drinks as they had turned off the machine. Since they weren’t attending it right now I can only imagine the process started before then, a whole hour before close!
I find this lazy and unprofessional since cleaning and packing up is a job shops/restaurants are meant to do after their closing hours and I thought a review of my experience would be the best way of letting the store know for the short cuts their staff are taking.
In general the hot chocolates and other chocolates taste quite nice. Not Haighs nice, but nice.
The service is wonderful. Huge selection of chocolates. They have great boxes for special events ie Christmas, Mother's Day etc. Lovely store and great location.
Usually get an iced mocha blended at koko blacks, for some reason this place refuses to blend the iced mocha despite having a blender. The girl asked the manager and she refused, I dont understand why when its the same drink just blended and it makes a customer happy and you have all the tools to accomodate a reasonable request.
Other koko blacks do this no hassle so I guess it tells you the service at this particular one just isn’t as good.
It’s so unfortunate that I have to give this place even one star! Extremely rude and unprofessional to say the least, the staff member that was making coffees there today, was honestly the worst! I have no words to describe just how abrupt she was, when she was speaking to us regarding the free chocolates they never give you when you get your coffee.it was the worst coffee ever! Working in the area we always go in to buy coffee and chocolates, well you have lost us as this isn’t the first time we have experienced and seen other customers go through the same experience! This place really needs to employ better staff that actually want to work!
A very solid range of chocolate here if you really love the stuff, lots of near gift boxes and you can also get served food here as well.
I have finally given up on this store. Too many times when I walk in, the staff are not busy serving customers but they don’t acknowledge me or come and serve me. There is a manager whom I have never seen serving customers. Finally I cracked it. South Yarra Koko Black I cannot shop with you any more.
Such delicious coffee & chocolates! Staff are always so kind & willing to help! Love popping in whenever I get a chance!
Loved the atmosphere. Great to see plenty of vegan and GF options. Will be back.
Staff and chocolate are great.
I often find myself dropping in here on a Friday to grab some treats for the weekend. The staff are always happy, friendly and helpful. The chocolate is delicious and love that they sometimes surprise me with samples. Great coffee too!
I had a great experience this afternoon right before closing, a huge shout out to Natasha and Bronte, these two absolutely made my day! They were super helpful, friendly, funny and attentive, even though they'd had a long busy day themselves. Give these two a bonus! Absolute chocolate legends.
Chocolate at comparable prices to liquid gold.addictive like crack though, feels- I need to rob to eat this more often.and gym.
Made my purchase during lockdown and they were very helpful. The store adjusted well to the COVID restrictions and I was able to get exactly what I was after with ease. Thanks!
Make sure you take your invisibility cloak off as you enter. Staff oblivious to the presence of paying customers. Walked out and took our money elsewhere.
It is a chocolate store and I had the worst mocha ever they used the worst chocolate to made it
Really poor and rude service, expensive box of chocolates just thrown in a bag. Assistant need some training on meeting customer service expectations. Not good enough Koko Black. Chadstone store is much better, I’ll go there from now on
Beware of online orders!
Was sent a bag of hot chocolate powder with only a few weeks left before expiring. If I'd bought hot chocolate powder in person wouldn't have purchased with anything less than 4 months before expiry.
Other hot chocolate lasts for years!
When I raised this with them they declared that they do not see the problem! Eventually they have refunded me, but only after a prolonged email argument, and they still insist that what they sent was within their quality controls. Very dissatisfied.
Amazing chocolate, bad coffee.
Seriously good (but expensive) chocolate. Great service too, however the coffees on the other hand were both burnt and bitter, unfortunately so bitter we couldn't finish them.
The chocolate is really not great - it's gritty and cheap tasting. The higher-end blocks in supermarkets are better than this, and half the price.
There is noting about premium chocolate. Over priced chocolate. You paid for packaging not for quality product
A very nice Koko black store in Chapel Street. The coffee was very nice, and the dessert brownie was very rich and chocolatey!
