A good library if you enjoy screaming kids and loud patrons. Seriously set up a separate room for group functions

The staff are always friendly and helpful. Good selection of books and ebooks both in the library and on Libby.

A library is supposed to be a quiet area. How does anyone read or study with children singing and screaming in the background?

I recently started uni and need somewhere quiet to study so that I can concentrate. Came to Knox library this afternoon and had a really good 2 hour study, then 2 men came into the library (I suppose one of them works here) then they just started to talk extremely loud, and even started to play the violin! I just can't get it why they have to play the violin inside the library! They just didn't show any manner and respect to others. Such a bed experience!

There is a great selection of books, ebooks, audio books, music CD's, DVD's to satisfy everybody.
Friendly and helpful staff.
There are events for everybody.

How about a bit of quiet? The noise in this library is outrageous. Staff should ask noisy people to be quiet, and they should set a good example.

Heard this morning from a loud staff member: "Back under 25 now. "

Later, we were treated to a discussion of his friend's new girlfriend whom he met during a visit to Maitland, NSW.

Make use of the online options here for putting books on hold and accessing a huge variety of digital content. Great educational games and resources for kids. Plenty of options for adults too, and it is all free to access with a library card. Go and sign up, it is so worth it!

Large number of computers available to use, and there's a dedicated area for quiet study. Good place to get work done, however there's zero natural light coming in and that makes it sometimes a little suffocating.

There are a lot of space and seats for you to either get work done quietly, read a book, or even sleep! Haha It’s definitely a safe space for many people here. It’s kept very clean and organised.

Nice large place, ez to find a free parking spot nearby.
However, I have to say it’s not very quiet, some customers talk loud, and even play their phones with speaker on.
And another thing is, the staff here just can’t stop talking to each other.which makes the library more noisier.
From what I can see, their jobs are basically wondering around and talking to colleagues. What an ez job, lol!

A Small library, friendly staff. In the digital world, people usually read and learn from internet via smart phones so maybe add more places for people to sit and play their smart phones.

Need more sofa and chairs with ergonomic features instead of hard chairs that do not support the back. At times the library smell stuffy. Staff are mostly friendly & helpful. Was told that other libraries have pantry / kitchen for community use and also offer free wifi. Hope Knox library will catch up.
