Thanks to the high quality of Darebin council streets, I had a tyre blow out yesterday afternoon when an exposed razor sharp blade of 19th century, cast iron kerb drain pipe stabbed the sidewall of my tyre.

After struggling to find any stock at any tyre place within 5 km, I found one at mycar Northland and I bought the cheapest possible replacement and booked in my vehicle online around 6pm.

Dropped my car off at 8: 16am and got the message to pick it up at 8: 33am!

When I got back to the shop I was told that, "the incorrect tyre had been booked by the system", which was the sweetest possible way to say that I bought the wrong one!?

They swapped it out for the correct size, which was more expensive, but still only charged me the price I'd originally paid.

Yes, you read that correctly:

Charged me the lower price for the wrong item. At a mechanics.

I know.

Anyway my caffeine-less brain was pretty dazed at the time, so in hindsight I would like to emphasise how effortless, respectful and generous the entire experience was and give a genuine recommendation to attend mycar at Northland.
