KISA Phone Australia's Seniors - Easy to Use Mobile Phone for Seniors

The KISA phone is the best solution that I have found for my friend with Parkinson's. He is in a nursing home and exclusively uses the phone to communicate with his wife and daughter. The fixed location large mechanical buttons of the KISA phone work well for him. His previous simplified "smart" phone was problematic. Given his dry fingers with limited mobility, he could not reliably select items on the touch screen. He often accidentally put the phone into a virtually unusable mode.

I have received good support from KISA. They answered my many questions about using the phone here in the US. The phone is currently working well on a 4G service from a major US carrier. The phone does not support 5G but that is not a problem at this time.

The phone seems to be engineered well given a presumably limited development budget. The battery can easily be replaced by the user. The case is fairly rigid though of course not indestructible. The phone automatically checks for software updates when placed on the charger. However the phone should not be left on the charger all day since that may over charge the battery.

KISA produce an amazing simple to use phone that has been perfect for my elderly mother who is vision impaired and has dementia. It's the only phone that she has been able to operate, which gives us peace of mind to be able to be in constant contact with her, along with the GPS component that is extremely helpful and valuable. The support staff are very quick to respond and to help and assist with any issues, and have gone out of their way to help. Highly recommend the KISA phone.

This phone was a brilliant, safe option for my 8 year old daughter. It gave us the added security that she could reach the adults in her life but she couldn’t access the internet/games/strangers. This is a brilliant option for children!

We bought this phone for my low vision elderly mother who had recently transferred into an Aged Care facility. She had never used a mobile phone before. She was able to use the phone successfully and maintain communication with us during COVID lockdown. It was a game changer.
The phone is such a paired back device it made it very usable and not intimidating. No lock in contracts with the phone plan was also a bonus.

The KISA phone has been an absolute godsend for my 96 year old mother. She gets too confused with any other sort of mobile phone but has managed with this one so well. I adjusted it so she has to press the name twice to ring to avoid pocket dialling which is a great feature. She recently went to hospital and took the phone with her. It was wonderful that we could keep in touch while she wasn’t allowed visitors due to the lockdown. I don’t know how we would have coped without it. So many people in the hospital commented on it too. Thankyou so much for such a fantastic product.

Excellent Australian made, Melbourne based product. Purchased this phone for my father who moved to an aged-care facility two years ago. It has been brilliant! Fantastic customer service from Kisa, highly recommend. My father has never used a laptop/mobile phone in his life. He calls me daily! Which is important during lockdown and I am unable to visit. Simple to use, easy to set up; Dad loves his KISA phone! Great to have pictures of his contacts on front cover as well. The volume can also be locked to loud on speaker for those hard of hearing, which works well for my Dad. One of the best things I had ever done when Dad moved to full time care.

My father has dementia and the Kisa phone was very simple and easy for him to use. Other phones were unfortunately too difficult for him to operate. The Kisa phone ensured we could communicate with him by phone for several years longer than would otherwise have been the case.

Till my 94 year old father passed away a couple of weeks ago, he had a KISA phone which kept him connected with his family through the Covid 19 pandemic. He could easily phone us and also had no trouble answering it even when he was hospitalised. He had a smart phone too for accessing the internet but from time to time found it difficult to use. I bought this phone for my elderly mother when she could no longer manage a normal phone. It enabled her to stay in contact with close family and gave her greater independence. She only has to pick it up and press on the name. All the features meant that she was able to be found if she wandered and also it disconnected calls if she forgot to do so. It was also very cost effective. We also bought one for a family member who had a stroke. It is a great innovation.

Quick prompt service always. Easy to set up and order phone.very reasonably priced. Reasonably easy to use for my father. Helpful and kind service when the time came to disconnect due to fathers deteriorating dementia.
