Disspointing - left oil cap off and wiring issues (which led to spending more money on blown lights and car locking issues)

Got my car serviced a while ago and they left the cap off the oil tank. All the oil spilt everywhere and my car smelt terrible. The engine light also turned on. They cleaned it and the light turned off. I thought this was the last of it, but it was not.

I went through several blown lights, battery issues and my doors stopped locking probably (each door had to be manually locked). Turns out I had some wiring issues this whole time after the service.

I have been debating whether to leave a review for a while. I ended up paying extra money several times after the service. Please train all your staff properly. From all the reviews it appears my case was a rare instance, however it should not happen. All customers should ensure they check their cars afterwards just in case.

And again like always.really, really good place for maintenance or fixing your vehicle. Best petrol prices around and best of all it's a private, small and local business. Support the locals. Tnx.

Cheap fuel on most days and opens on the Saturday only as the workshop close at 1pm so if lucky can get in there for great car services and cheap fuel.

Not a fan of Shell Petrol, hard to find E10 fuel, HOWEVER, this place does keep prices as low as possible BUT also provices the very best service on my partners and my cars. Quick, not costing me more than the cars worth and really informative about the work carried out. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

I just got petrol from here today (good price relative to others) and spoke to the mechanic about getting a service. He was very friendly and I got a good vibe from him, seemed intelligent and honest. Will be calling back to book a service.

My wife’s car wouldn’t start from Thursday evening. We were all busy in working on Friday. Yesterday is Saturday. We visited their shop and seeking for assistance in the morning. I was a bit worried about whether they can help us or not, cause I know weekend is always very, very busy for most of these business. Ross was working with his staff when we entered into their shop. Both 2 guys were pretty busy under a car which has been lift up. We said hi and Ross stopped his working and came to attend us. My wife explained what happened before the car shut down. Ross asked my street name and number as we are on St Andrews Drive which is a few hundred meters from their shop. Then he said to come soon. Almost on the same time when we get back to home, his car arrived following us. His response speed is beyond my imagination. He asked where and when we refueled the car on last time. We told him it’s in Costco 2 weeks ago. Then he fixed the problem in a few minutes by force to jump start up the car with his battery. And tell me the car has got engine flood. We get to know although the price of Costco fuel is cheap but the quality is not good. He recommended us to refuel Shell V-Power which can help to clean the engine. My car has always been refueled in Ross’s shop as it’s on my way to work every day. Same problem had never been experienced with it. My wife used to refuel in Costco for her working convenience reasons. She will only use the Shell petrol of Ross’s shop in the future. Ross fixed the car and I want to give him money for thanks. He said no need then left. When I get back to refuel V-power for my wife’s car, I saw another one customer was talking with him for the problem of his car. Ross was so busy. We are proudly to have this shop in our community. We’ll always look after their business in the future. Much appreciated for your free service, Ross. You are the best.

Let's see how long you last now Shell obviously conned you into purchasing new bowsers and then they go and lower their prices around the corner

Ross and the Kingston Garage team have looked after us, our family and friend's motor needs for over 25 years. Always excellent customer service, knowledgeable mechanical advice, reliable and cost effective, we wouldn't dare go anywhere else. I don't even bother asking for a quote anymore as i know they're the best mechanics in town.

Worked here for 2 years, Ross was a hard boss, but very, very fair. He instilled a work ethic in me that is unparalleled by any other boss I have worked for. His knowledge of cars and their problems is unlike any other mechanic out there. I feel proud to have worked under Ross, and that pride & the knowledge I gained from him is something I will carry with me my whole life. I will never recommend a mechanic over Ross.
