Kingsland Chinese Restaurant reviews
39Dined in last night as not from the area. Meal was top notched. Ordered the preset banquet for 2. Did not dissapoint. Will be back for sure.
Been coming here for years. Family have too. Anyone who knows good traditional chinese food comes here. Service and staff are amazing, family run business. They value their customers treating my parents like gold and know them by name, and they value any feedback
Place is easy to find as it is located along the street. Plenty of parking available.
Staff are accommodating and quick to take orders once you’re ready. The ambience reminds me of authentic Chinese restaurants. Food was served quick and was delicious. We ordered a few dishes and we were seated in a small table which made the table crowded and a bit uncomfortable. We thought we could be seated in a bigger table but the staff didn’t move us. But otherwise food was great.
Amazingly tasty food! Best Chinese I have had in a long long time! Steak and prawns with black pepper sauce was to die for! Very highly recommend! Plus a free bag of fresh prawn crackers! Winning!
Always welcoming, varied menu, great tasting dishes. Have gone back repeatedly as enjoy great service and food.
So this has to be the hardest place that i have had to score so far.
The seafood, meat and chicken are all done perfect i have no complaints the service is fine. But where it lost me hard was the sauce in all dishes.
Its so watered down to me and the special fried rice was the most plain tasting fried rice i have had for a long time.
With a few little touches this place could be a 5 star but 3 it is tonight.
Placed an order on Menu Log without realising that it wasn’t able to be delivered due to it not being over a certain amount, my fault! It was so worth driving to pick up! The Chinese sausage was so nice, and the fried rice was cooked perfectly. This was the first time I have been to this restaurant and I will 100% be coming back!
Great food, low prices, nothing or nowhere else compares.
Been coming for years. Highly recommend to everyone
Lovely Chinese Restaurant with great service especially from the young man who works there. Despite how busy the restaurant gets on Friday nights, he never loses his cool and continues with a smile on his face. Also, the food is excellent! My favourite is the Mongolian beef, which has a nice little kick to it.
I have been coming to Kingsland Chinese Restaurant for my whole eating life, even bringing all my favourite people for my 21st birthday here 15 years ago.
The family who operates the venue remember the special occasions we have celebrated here and always make us feel like we are friends popping in for a visit.
The food here is better than anything in mainland China and I would encourage anyone who likes Chinese food to come here and have their tastebuds blown!
The lazy Susanne also helps to keep your wine topped up!
Superb old school Aussie Chinese, just like I remember having as a kid! Special fried rice and chicken cashew nut were great! Kingsland and Loi Eng in Ferntree Gully are two of the best Chinese restaurants in the outer east & there's a reason they've been in business for 30+ years!
I accidentally ordered from the wrong restaurant and thought "oh well, try somewhere new".
I hate to say that this had to be the worst Chinese food I've ever had.
Mongolian beef was thick, dry and looked like it was coated in something like a dog or breadcrumbs. Chicken with cashews had no flavour and the fried rice was claggy.
So disappointed won't make that mistake again.
Very friendly atmosphere and quite good food. The special fried rice could use some work though I've had much better. The prices have jumped significantly I don't think we'll be back, there are better places closer to home.
Very good food and friendly staff, we have takeaway usually and they are very fast at the preparation.
Terrible fried rice which was barely fried if at all. Sesame prawn toast was passable. Beef and cashews was ok.
Ordered delivery, the food was wonderful! They have amazing prices and came still super hot and beautifully done, delivery was prompt and the delivery driver was LOVELY as well. Worth every cent ️
The space is nice and cozy and the staff are so friendly - shoutout to Ryan for having killer multitasking skills! The lobster noodles are phenomenal and the black pepper beef is delicious. I’ve heard the Mongolian beef is the best in Melbourne and you bet I’ll be back for more.
Ordered roasted duck from here and it tasted great albeit a bit salty. The fried rice was also cooked to perfection with each grain fried with garlicky goodness.
Food did not match what I had ordered. Person at front of store had no intentions to correct my order and was very rude about my son being able to use their bathroom facilities. Was a horrible experience and whatever the dish was i received wasn't very good.
My parents have been going for 30 years (i used to go too as a kid) went with my sister last weekend and the food is still the best quality. Best chinese food anywhere. Family run business, Staff are lovely, service is great. Thank you, see you again soon, worth the travel
