The same thing on a plane for half the price. The owner wants to play high-end gourmet food, and the bread, ham, etc.are all from the supermarket. The exquisite breakfast is nothing more than a child's game of starting a business. He doesn’t understand food, people, or culture. Foodies sincerely

Fantastic coffee in the morning and does a delicious Reuben sandwich. But there’s something for everyone! If you work in the area check it out

I have to say that I am never disappointed with their tasty sandwiches! I’ve tried so far the meatballs sandwich, the cotoleta and the Reuben. It’s nice to have some good quality hot sandwiches around the area! I totally recommend!

Solid Rueben. Amazing potato cakes. Can't fault the food, but $27.5 for takeaway lunch (sando, potato cake side and a drink) is just too much

A hole in the wall sandwich spot that’s only open for a few hours for lunch on weekdays. Targets the city office crowd but still worth a trot out for the rest of us regular folk.

There’s a rather reasonable amount of seating on the sidewalk and a couple of gas heaters which are absolutely necessary through Melbourne’s cold winters.

We had the cotoletta and the pork meatball roll. The meatball roll was wholesome but just left me a little wanting. Ciabatta roll was nice enough but didn’t have the inner softness that I prefer, the 3 meatballs looked a little lonely and might have benefitted from 4 smaller sized meatballs instead, and aesthetically (although appearances certainly aren’t everything) it was very…green. The cotoletta was tasty albeit missing some complexity.

Potato cakes were very tasty - had that thin super crispy batter that I like. Potato slices thinner than my preference, and the small puddle of oil leftover in the box wasn’t the best look. Would definitely have again.

A good lunch feed. Came with fairly sturdy packaging, which may be handy for some.

Had the brigadier and it was really subpar given the hefty $18 price tag. At this end you’re competing with salumnistis which sooo consistently good!

1. Bun is like 50 cent coles bread. Aneamic, lifeless, soft
2. In terms of flavours, it was like a red rooster sub in a burger format
3. The burger came in a rectangle container which barely fit the sandwich, causing the insides to spill out. Idk maybe use a square container?
4. Chicken skin was nice addition, good crunch!
5. There’s just no contrast of flavours in this one. Feels like I could make it myself with a coles chicken.

After looking at other reviews, potentially the other sandwich’s are better. But unfortunately you only get one chance to make a first impression! Especially when it’s an 18 dollar chance!

To management, I suggest taking the brigadier off the menu to save yourself!

I had high hopes, given your store is named after me

The magic, which is the mushroom melt toastie, really is magical! Will be coming back for more!

The Cotoletta was amazing - definitely one of the best sammiches I've had. The company was also just as good. Thanks!
