King & I Thai Restaurant

I've visited this place a few times. Usually, the food and service are excellent. However, we ordered pat tofu yesterday. Tofu isn't present.only veggies that are frozen.and we placed a takeaway order for veggie fried rice. That was quite awful. They did not include any sauce. Simply add the overcooked jasmine rice.

Always yummy. They are really good at avoiding allergens if you request it. Staff are always friendly and helpful. We love the pad gratiam prik thai

Excellent food, excellent service! Moment you walk in, you're looked after right away. Kitchen staff and waitresses done a fantastic job. Highly recommend this restaurant.

It was a very hot evening and we dined upstairs. The room was still cool and comfortable. The service was attentive and the food was great. There was a good selection of vegetarian options too. Definitely going to go book again.

Literally 10 out of 10. We had the beef pad Thai which was the best Pad Thai we’ve ever had, the Pad Garee which was really creamy and had excellent spice, the chive cakes which we have never had before and loved and the Moon Yang which was also loved. So good!

My spring roll was only 3 small pieces with only sweet and sour sauce nothing else it was very expensive $10.other food was great, it's recommended but don't order the spring roll.

We’ve always had positive experiences at King & Thai. We order the chicken cashew stir fry and prefer the seafood or chicken dishes Eg pad Thai with chicken or seafood.

Deliveries come on time or within the provided window and we can also pick it up. We prefer to order directly and get it delivered by their own staff. Every time, it’s been worth it! Highly recommend King & Thai.

Usually GREAT food fast service and great prices as well byo.
Went again tonight. Waited 20min for before we asked to order and a wind glass. Rice came 10 minutes before Ttwo meals came then 15 minutes the other two arrived. We were sharing but not good.

I'm only giving this place 3 stars based on the service which was good. I have been here several times but the food has deteriorated. We ordered both the green chicken curry and the beef rendang curry. I can't believe restaurants serve cheap sirloin beef and pass this off for $20 a dish. The meat is stringy and dry if it wasn's cooked in the curry sauce. It's a shame, go to Thailand and see how they cook and present their curries it looks and tastes nothing like this. Spend a few dollars more and buy some nice beef even chuck and slow cook you will notice a huge different. Won't be returning

I ordered via Uber Eats and when I received my order it was not correct. When I rang to try and get the order fixed, rather than just admitting they had mixed up the order (which I wouldn't have minded as accidents happen and people can be busy or distracted) I was just told, 'nope that's our version' and apparently I should have specified on my order if I wanted the standard way of doing it. No where is it mentioned on their ordering page that there are options for this, or that it's not the traditional version. No effort was made for customer service which was rather dissappointing. It was my first time ordering and I was excited to find a new local Thai place but unfortunately it won't be my new go to.: (

Absolutely delicious meal, and super quick to-go service! We ordered the kao pud prik (beef), curry puffs, roti and pad priew wan (crispy pork) and would 100% buy again. Cheaper to order from restaurant directly compared to Uber eats prices (easy street parking for pickup).

Food tasted like it had been heated up from the day before. Watery curry, soggy spring rolls, and off pad Thai chicken. Was good in the past, what’s happened!

We went to get takeaway on a public holiday and it took more than an hour and a half! We kept being told it would be 10 minutes.

This is hands down the most affordable, high quality Thai food your money can buy!

The staff are so kind and caring, always supplying the best service for either your sit in restaurant experience, or your take out night at home!

I cant recommend King and I enough! Go and check it out for yourself, you won’t regret it!

What has happened to this restaurant. Poor takeaway. Thai green chicken predominantly sauce and very little chicken. Dry satay beef.
Go to One Thai which is always reliable and much better value

Amazing service and great hospitality! We ordered $34 banquet and all dishes taste so good. Best Thai in the area for sure.
We could book a private room on the second floor without any deposit. The function was a great success and we will be back for sure!

An average Thai experience. Perfect for a quiet, well served meal with minimal distraction. The staff were friendly enough, the decor is plain and the meals have an authentic simplicity that matches one's expectations.

We were the for my birthday and they were very accommodating to us bc we had our 2 year old son with us. Maybe next time just have plastic plates n cups for little kids just in case.

Very good with dietary requirements, beautiful food! Always comes out quick and they are good portion sizes. Nice and patient staff. We eat here once a month, can't stay away.

The King and I is one of our favourite family restaurants in Surrey Hills. Authentic cuisine. Always friendly staff. Recommend you book as it's really popular!
