Kilmore Timber & Hardware Mitre 10 reviews
20Not much use of having a phone if they never answer it. So 2 years on still nobody here that has half an idea of anything. Staff training wouldn't go astray. Quite the waist of fuel to drive here.
Usually the staff are very friendly and helpful. This recent experience was dealing to with 2 school kids behind the counter, one looked so bored and wouldn't know how to smile at all. The 2 of them together couldn't work out maths for a grade 1 kid I had to get the supervisor to come and sort out what was the most simple maths ever. Maybe before you put two kids on the checkout make sure they can do the basic addition and subtraction and a smile also goes a long way.
Any chance of fixing the rear parking area which is full of potholes & has been like this for months.
This place reminds me of 1986. If you are female and need anything in the trade section go elsewhere. Strictly girls up the front and boys up the back.
I have been a regular customer for many years, a supporter of local businesses and found the store staff were experienced, helpful and recognised and rewarded regular customers however all this has changed this year. Prices have increased, regular customers are not recognised, impossible to find someone who knows anything about the products. I will just drive to Bunnings from now on. Sad and disappointing.
If they have the stock you want its great, but this is often not the case.
Frequently the price scans higher at the check out than the price displayed on the shelves.
You guys really need to keep you prices up to date and change them when the prices change. Extremely frustrating deciding on a product based on the price, only to get to the checkout and are charged more. This has happened to me allot when buying stuff here. I want to support local business BUT they need to run the business correctly to get my ongoing support.
The best thing that happened to us on Saturday was Kieran at Mitre 10 Kilmore.
We have just moved back to the area and have never experienced such wonderful customer service, patience and kindness in this setting from anyone ever!
Kieran helped us gather all the things we needed (and the store was busy) to fix leaking pipes and drains and then got our car going again for us, all done without any hesitation and in a way that made you feel this has to be the number one hardware in the area.
We appreciated your help more than you would know. Thanks again mate and we'll see you soon as we are building a house:)
Really disappointed, the place has gone down hill considerably! We now go to Wallan where we receive professional customer service.
I like to support local businesses where possible but the staff here is consistently rude and unhelpful. It's even a struggle to get a gas bottle filled up.
Don't bother wasting your time here, you are better off driving to Home Hardware Wallan or Bunnings.
Very hit and miss, get the right staff member and no issues. Today I enquired in the timber yard about a price for dressed Cypress posts, two staff members couldn't help. "about" 50 a metre was the only information on offer, if that's correct then these are the most expensive in regional Victoria. Not a small sale either as I'm after quite a few. Will travel into Melbourne for them now. A shame as I would prefer to support local businesses.
Been there several times, my experience ranges from fair to disappointing. It may have been that I turned up the day some staff had a bad day?
Yesterday I went in to buy a packet of seeds, apart from not having popular seeds in stock for the second time visited, and they were clearly marked $2.00 the person on the register scanned them for $13.65? When questioned he then said $4.65, but on the shelf marked $2.00
Again how does that even happen.
Does the person behind the register have no clue of what his selling?
Not the first time.
I'm passionate about supporting local, it would be great if they could get it to a better level. Note:
I don't expect perfect
I always shop here, their staff are wonderful, Casey is so nice and full of knowledge.
The plants are so healthy never lost one.
Thankyou for you brilliant service.
Great customer service today especally from Kieran. Matched Bunnings price with the product I bought. Very satisfied customer. Thank you
Great friendly staff and great service not a massive range of products but getting more stuff weekly
Disappointing
Used to 'paint match' with the proper machine.
Now just seem to do it by eye only.
Colour was completely different.
Ended up going to Paint right in town who were much better and actually matched the paint correctly.
Disappointing.
Disappointing when the items I'm after aren't in stock but even more disappointing when "helpful" staff take your details to ring you back about the availability of the items, never to be heard from again.
This has happened twice now.
So off to Bunnings tomorrow to get what I need.with my mask on.
Professional staff. Good experienced assistance within choosing driveway stones to help correct years of rain water washing over it.
Looks 100 % easy on my feet, dogs feet, horses feet and the cars tires
I try to shop local where i can but Mitre 10 is always out of stock of a lot of things. I don't find the staff knowledgeable enough, especially at the trade counter.why are you hiring staff that cannot answer basic questions? The previous owners/staff were nicer and knew what you were talking about. I think delivery is a bit hefty considering a 15km round trip.
Very poor customer service. Was not even notified when my order came had to ring up and find out. Will never shop here again would rather go to Bunnings in Melbourne.
Staff always seem to be in a hurry & unhelpful with a query on purchased item, suggest more help given to customers as they will probably stay a while & buy more items, a bit intimidating. Always remember It is quite a nice drive down to Craigieburn but I prefer to shop local.
