Kilcunda Ocean View Motel

We loved our overnight stay. The rooms are ultra clean and care has been taken with the decor. The location is beautiful, opposite a stunning coastline and very close to the historic railway bridge and beautiful cycling and walking trails. The service was kind and helpful. The motel provided us the opportunity to have an inexpensive, scenic and fuss-free night and two days away.

We got there late at night, just before midnight, and realized we had booked our room for the wrong date. We called the manager and he was kind enough to come to the motel and let us in.
The room/ cabin was comfy, cosy, and clean.

Talk about location, location, Location! 5 mins to Archie's Creek Hotel, right next door to the always awesome, Kilkunda hotel and Straight across the road is the ocean and I followed a lovely little path that meandered along the cliffs and I would've kept going but I had dinner waiting for me at the good old Kilkunda (Ocean view) pub. We did walk thru caravan park to the public access steps down to the lovely soft sand and we were rewarded with a glorious sunset. The pub was always a good feed back in my teen years and my ribs definitely lived up to my expectations. My dog is still loving the bones also. Then we collapsed onto our very comfy beds and for the first time in years, I slept straight thru, not waking once, such a good sleep. Thank you Ocean view Motel, if we ever need accommodation again, you are top of the list. If you have any vacancies, I think we must have been very lucky to get this room, that we booked only a couple of days before.

The room was very clean and extremely comfortable, and the staff member who assisted myself with check-in was beyond incredible. I took advantage of the sprawling views with an amazing walk along the beach. Plus the meal at the local pub was fantastic. I can’t recommend more highly, a Kilcunda weekend away.

Had a lovely overnight stay. Lady was very pleasant and helpful. Even let us park our special car round the back. There was a notice to say bathroom was to be refurbished soon, which will make a big difference. All clean and tidy. Will go back.

We had a very nice stay here - not too far to drive from home, lovely spot and friendly people. Easy stroll next door to the pub for dinner and the beach is just across the road. Relaxing!

Comfortable bed but the place is in a time warp. No wi-fi or phone reception and no ABC on the old TV.
Dangerously slippery bathroom floor.
Next door to the pub which was handy.

This nice motel, Clean rooms, close to the beach and there are couple of restaurants and bar minutes away which you can get breakfast, coffee, lunch and drinks.

Missus and I came to Melbourne to adventure a self drive holiday with no reservations etc. We wanted to get as close as possible to Phillip Island, as the night was hitting we started to look for Motels on Sam Remo and it was all booked out. Phillip Island was booked out. Called Kilcunda Ocean View and Tom saved our lives as he accommodated a last minute late check in, took payment as he was about to go home and he left key in Lockbox. I love dealing with people like that.
We arrived to a cozy little cabin that it was perfectly clean, with air con and fan, Tv, minibar, microwave, Toaster and a Kettle, toilet was impecable as well as the shower which had continuous strong hot water that just made me feel brand new…
This cabins are in front of a beach although we didn’t have a beach view we are having one of the quietest nights in a long time at the back

Awesome value for money…

Whoever thinks this cabins should be $80 …

Let me tell you … keep driving because those days are gone.

Ideally located for easy access to rail trail, walking tracks nd beaches along one of Victoria's stunning coastlines

Great experience from my first phone call to inquire about booking a room until we left on the morning after our overnight stay. Friendly and helpful staff, big, clean, well-equipped, comfortable room (number 2) with the ocean view as promised. Thank you for a lovely place to stay for our first adventure away from home since Covid began.

Basic but comfortable for a nights stay, across the road from ocean so you can be on the sand within a 5 minute walk.
Next door to Pub and Cafe so good food on offer without having to travel.
I would stay again.

Lovely accommodation right near the walking track, very friendly and helpful reception staff. Enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back!

There are a few rooms at the front in motel style and then 7 cabins at the back. We stayed 3 nights in cabin 11. All parking is at the front with a single car lane to reception and cabins. Some people temporarily park the car at the back to unload/load and then park the rest of the time at the front. A distance of some 40 - 50 metres to the cabins.
The cabin is a good size with king bed, firm mattress, side lamps, electric blankets, TV with occasional hiccup with reception, doona and blanket. Microwave, toaster, kettle and very small fridge. Reasonable hanging space and storage.
Bathroom is large with good size shower, lots of hot water, good water pressure, rear window to allow air and lighting with automatic ceiling fan. Well above standard.
Needs block out curtains so bring some pegs to use one of the blankets.
Next to hotel but cabins are quiet.
Small balcony outside that looks at opposite cabins.
A very comfortable stay and reasonable price. Recommended.

The motel is well located to the beautiful Kilcunda ocean beach, hotel is next door and the general store the building after.
The back cabin was clean quiet and very comfortable with the usual extras plus a microwave. Efficient air conditioner which was welcome in our time there (high 30c) Highly recommend the motel.

Rooms are basic but extremely clean. Staff are wonderful and the location is perfect. Definitely would come again
