Never hire bottle jacks from Kennards Hire!
5 times the price of Heidelberg Hire down the road and according to them it was our fault for not checking the competitors price before hiring rather than them taking advantage of their customers. Never again! The 4 day hire cost us more than buying the jacks outright!

Hired from both airport west & thomastown, both places are the same, great to deal with & very helpful with a fast pickup & return service.

The sales people were excellent at advising on whether the hoist that I wanted to borrow would be safe to use on my slanted driveway. Also, the delivery and pick up service was great because I didn't have to organise another vehicle (which I don't have) to procure the hoist. Lost 1 star because of partial failure of the hoist and also because they did not pick it up when they said they would-had to ring up again and tell them they had to pick it up as it was blocking my front door, which I needed access to in order to move furniture. However, I was given a discount due to that. Very happy.

My husband hired from them on Friday for a 24hr hire 5 tonne tipper truck. We returned this on Saturday with the access code to drive the truck in and leave. We also filled the truck up and paid over $300 to fill the truck back up with fuel. They then charged his account extra, first accusing us of returning it on Sunday which we argued stating we returned on Saturday with the access code, and then apparently they had to fill it up with fuel themselves after we had stopped at Caltex on settlement road and filled it up ourselves. Unless it has two tanks I don’t see how they can fill it up again. Be careful hiring as they don’t accept credit card statements proving we filled it up at the Caltex service station on Saturday night and it’s their word against yours.

You want to experience good ol fashion service, go see how these guys operate!

Terrible customer service & really rude staff! Hired a machine, drove down there to get it, didn’t work properly bring it back within 2 hours (including travel time). Staff didn’t seem to care & still charged me even though we didn’t get to use it properly! Never again!

Staff very accommodating and explain how to use your hire item if you are unfamiliar with it.
