Ken Ross Jewellers

I asked about getting my Casio digital watch's battery replaced here (along with a water resistance pressure test), not sure whether they accept digital watches. But they did!
Although they had to check whether my watch would fit with their pressure test equipment, it turned out that it did, and the service was excellent. They charged me less than what some other places quoted me, and did it really quickly too. They even gave me a little printout of the pressure test results so I could see exactly what tests were carried out. Super glad I came - will definitely be back the next time I need the battery replaced.

My dad took his 1959 Omega watch in today as the winder was not working. Not only did they look at it immediately, but also fixed it straight away, and to top it off, there was no charge. Very impressed with the service and the friendliness. Highly recommended.

Excellent and friendly service. Had my 1988 Citizen Analogue-Digital watch overhauled. It took several weeks to get a worn out part.
These days it's difficult to find an experienced watchmaker to repair anything that is mechanical or analogue. Thank you Ken Ross Jewellers.

Took my beautiful gold necklace in yesterday, expecting to have a new clasp recommended as the old clasp kept opening up.

The lovely lady simply tightened the clasp instead of charging me for a new one - and the clasp adjustment was totally free!

She made my day and I will definitely return here and recommend this place to anyone looking for an ethical jeweller!

Am local to the Ashburton shops and popped in to get some watch battery replacements on a few watches. They did them on the spot for me in 10 mins and were very affordable. Very friendly service and even let my 3yr old son look at some of their repair tools behind the counter. Will take all my future battery and repairs to Ken Ross and recommend everyone else to support local and excellent businesses like this one above any others.

Fantastic service. I had a significant scratch on my watch which I took to another watch repair place, which told me they couldn't fix it for 6 weeks because they were too busy. I was then referred to Ken Ross Jewellers, and I gave them my watch and they fixed it on the spot in about 2 minutes, and didn't even charge me. Will definitely be going back in future.

Never going anywhere else in Melbourne for my jewellery repairs. Another jeweller in the Camberwell arcade quoted me $500 for a watch service, charged me $10 to tighten the backs on some hoop earrings. Ken Ross's team serviced the watch for $150, with a year warranty, and tightened earrings up complementary. The service at Ken Ross Jewellers is always honest, helpful, professional and informative. I am consistently impressed with the quality of their work, makes me wish I had to go in more often!

This place is really good, I brought a chain in and it got fixed, this place is awesome. I would definitely recommend this place, plus my friends dad is the owner.

My mother brought in a long gold chain to be repaired. The woman at the counter took the chain, went to the back room and returned moments later, said it was fixed at no charge and promptly left again. The chain is significantly shorter, and is not the same one that was brought in for repair. I don't see how they could have undone the knot in it as well as repaired the link in such a short period of time.
When this was raised with the woman she insisted it was the same chain and refused to discuss it further.
They have ignored emails and follow up on the issue.

Ask for a quote here before you allow them to repair your jewellery. I have bought jewellery and watches here since 1972 and you would think that they wouldnt try to rip off a past loyal customer. I guess Ken no longer has the main say in this'as he was always helpful and honest but when they blatently rip off an 89 year old I will never shop there again. Shame on you for ruining a great local business and its standing in the community.

Terrible service, what a rude grumpy man! Basically did not want to help, could not be bothered and told me my ring was worthless! Certainly wont be back. I went a few shops down to another Jeweller and they were happy to help, they got my service. Will not be recommending your place to anyone.

Broke two of my watches when changing over the batteries & giving the impression the seals were still intact. Shoddy service.

Remorsefull!
I took in some of my partners earings for repair. Service was snooty and poor. The repair job was sub standard and the silver was replaced with some sub standard metal. So poor workmanship and they took my silver. Not a high value transaction but definately no repeat business and it motivated me to write a rare review.
