Ken Japanese Restaurant

Ate in at Ken for the first time. All dishes were excellent. I couldn't fault the quality of the food. The flavour of the Edamame, the Eggplant and Tofu were all excellent. Balanced flavours show skill by the Chef. On an Wednesday night the service was fast and efficient. The restaurant was not full but initially a little noisy and hard to talk - fine for a small group. Will definitely return again.

I realy can't say enough about this place, we live in Safty Beach and travel 45 minutes to Ken Japanese. Food choice and flavour is always consistent delicious and never disappoints. Also a lovely place to bring friends.
A GEM in Beaumaris!

Ken is simply outstanding. We rated all dishes excellent (Sashimi, seared samon belly wagu and spicy tuna roll) to probably the best Pork Belly dish I have ever tasted. Truly a revelation. Staff are young very helpful and unobtrusive. They did a great job.
Still consistently excellent this restaurant is a great choice for quality Japanese food and good wine list. Latest visit November 2023

This is the third time we have been to Ken and it just keeps getting better. We tried a bunch of new dishes this time and were delighted.

Food is OK, but a little sticky for me, more like Chinese, service is good, food is fully priced, drink prices are reasonable.

This is the 2nd time in just over a week I have been here. I was so impressed with my first experience I had to return with friends. Amazing, food, and wonderful staff.

Tha food was absolutely amazing. Shared several dishes between four of us and every dish was brilliant. The sashimi, wagyu beef and eggplant were standouts. Definitely coming back soon!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the food is amazing. We had the Chefs tasting menu and all courses were delicious. To compliment the experience the staff were very friendly and attentive to all our needs. We highly recommend.

Great meal at Ken Japanese last night. We had edamame, the kingfish, agadeshi tofu, eggplant, tempura and the wagyu beef. Every dish was delicious. The service was attentive and the quality of food was incredible. The wagyu in particular was so tender and incredible. I loved the simplicity of the menu and the ambience. I’ll definitely return!

The food and service were both excellent. It is true gem in the Bayside suburb of Beaumaris. Good value as well:)

This was our 3rd visit and each time has been great. Excellent quality food with good sized main courses. Will definitely visit again.

My sister from interstate and I dined for lunch and it was beautiful. From the endamame, Kingfish tartare and sashimi, Agedashi tofu was silken and stunning pork belly. We shall return to our New fave local. Thank you!

Second visit to Ken last week. Again we ordered the set menu. Truly sensational food and quality of produce. The flavours are still dancing in my mouth. You will not find a better Japanese restaurant in Bayside Melbourne.

3.5 stars.food is good quality, but serving sizes is tiny with a price.if your after fine dining japenese food maybe give this a try.
