Keilor Public Golf Course reviews
32Greqt flat fairways for the beginner. Bush is not deep if ever you do get the rogue ball. Hot days the ground can be a challenge to judge. Greens are fairly well maintained but do change with the weather so judge your putts appropriately. All in all a good course for beginners.
Apart from the fairways being rock hard with little grass cover, they refuse to accept cash in the pro shop, it’s legal tender. Pretty arrogant.
The staff at Keilor Golf course are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
The course is well maintained.
I enjoy playing here immensely.
They Don’t except cash at Club which is still a legal tender. Will never play Their again.
Probably one of the better public courses north of Melbourne. Curator Geoff on top of things as far as presenting the fairways. Greens very good and challenging. Some uneven bounces at times on fairways but generally 80% of the time bounces are pure and straight. Exceptional staff and well lead by Jack.
Course seems to have come a long way in the past few years. Fairways are nice but once you're off, it's rock hard dirt and scrub. Pretty unforgiving if you're not straight.
The range is decent. A bit rough around the edges but it gets the job done.
Staff mostly very friendly and cooperative.
Don't be fooled by the apparent practice fairway though, as using this will result in a wrist slap.
Well priced very nice golf course. Played here a couple of times now and it's very nice.
It's good to have a driving range to warm up on before playing.
Haven't hit a ball in 20+ years. Had the thought to gtab a couple of clubs from my Son's bag in my shed and go up to the driving range. Brought back fond memories of when Jeff Boyle was running the place. Grabbed a medium bucket of balls off I went. It started off really well the first 6/8 balls after that hit and miss. Anyway broke me in. The staff were the stand out at the place. The young fella behind the counter engaging and good to chat to I grabbed a pie and coffee. On departure after taking a table inside the young lad and Manager both came forth to say cherio, chat and were very pleasent. Looking forward if the back holds up to going again. Can well recommend the place.
Good looking course, shame we had to cut the round short due to the weather.
Will be returning again soon for sure.
It's my favourite one for a casual 9 holes, best when the suns out and quite ok even if it has rained.fairway and green is always well maintained
It's a pretty boring course, no real interesting holes, it's just up and back. Condition is OK for a suburban course. Decent greens, hard but green fairways but once you get off fairways the ground is rock hard and cracked.
The staff at Keilor Golf course are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
The course is well maintained.
I enjoy playing here immensely, even if my score doesn't reflect my enjoyment.
Special mention to Jack and Alex.
Great public course.
Just keeps getting better every year.
Fantastic value for green fee players.
Don't look down your nose at this course.
4 stars heading to 5 excellent value for money.
Just off the freeway so access is very easy too.
Nice course, wide fairways, a good challenge. Was a bit dry when I played, and the greens where hard to read.
Nice staff and long holes, bit if maintenance going on at the moment so some sandy fairways but nothing too bad.
Pancake flat. Reasonably easy course if you can hit a straight ball. Lots of GUR at present on most fairways though.
Decent course and driving range with good prices and great staff. Thanks guys. Shame you're so busy these days haha!
Review for practice area only: Driving range needs updating. Mats are well worn and the balls well past their use by date. Hard to get any real feedback and I wouldn't come here to use the range again.
The chipping green area is however very good.
Best golf course so far great welcome from the staff the greens are challenging for a first visit and for a public course better than some members only courses.
