Kedai Kampung Melbourne reviews
23Not bad for treating the feeling of missing Indonesian food for the South Eastern Suburn Victoria area
One of the best places to eat in the local area, it was incredible! Super authentic, and amazing flavours and very good value for money. Thank you!
They have the best and most authentic sop kambing (indonesian style lamb ribs soup) in the entire Melbourne
The lady was soo nice
definitely will be back soon
Kedai kampung service was excellent. I love the soto! The portion was satisfactory, the taste was lovely and the server were friendly
Always come back to this restaurant for delicious & authentic indonesian food! Definitely worth the 35 mins drive. Love their ayam rempah, sayur asem and mie ayam special. Highly recommended!
Excellent place for Mi goreng and other Indonesian foods. Excellent Excellent service being an Indian I loved the food. Very friendly service and staff. Small store but great food.
All the foods are incredible, all the food I have tried are amazing, rib soup, grilled ribs, fried rice, grilled chicken, fried chicken, vegetable tamarind (sayur asam), boiled cassava, grilled cheese banana, meatball soup. The taste exactly like original Indonesian foods in Jakarta. I love their foods. Absolutely will come back there if I'm visiting Melbourne.
The food is very good, taste feels like home. The portion is large but the price is so worthed. It placed near to the laundry, so we can eat there while waiting for the laundry. I order grilled lamb ribs and the tarik, it cost me only 22$.
Well known indonesian restaurant. Love the grilled fish. Yummy
Jan 2022. Add review. Love the indonesian from this shop. Its authentic indonesian food for my tounge. The shop has not served dine in yet due to covid but the take away was a long Q. Purchased chicken satay, stuffed tofu and fried meatball and tofu.
Very recommended indonesian restaurant
May 2022. Return visit. Ordered hot meatball soup and chicken noodle soup for cold autumn. Still enjoying their beautiful taste of the food. Very recommended.
I've ordered Nasi Goreng (fried rice) three times so far (at different times) ; once was lamb fried rice, once was chicken fried rice and the other one was beef fried rice. The first two times were okay, but the last one the rice was a bit mushy (I reckon too much water when they cooked it).
I've also ordered fried noodles, it was okay, but I've had better from other restaurants.
Overall I'm not that impressed with the fried rice and fried noodles in this restaurant. Haven't tried other menus yet.
Beautiful, authentic Indonesian flavours. Friendly staff. Looks like a popular place for the locals to eat. Will most definitely be back to try more dishes
Holamooolaaa cuppapimunyanyoh Gais!
I like to eat in this shop where they consist of three races: -

Cheche
Javanese people.a genius expert in the field of making coffee.she is cute and very kind.
Bu! (headchef)
Sundanese people. Such a lovely person, a great person in the field of cooking various foods if you feel sure you want more made by mother's hand.
Anak Sultan Bocil (reception)
Mother's child.great at counting money, taking food orders and tidying up tables.just alone but fast and diligent for work. She is cute girl still young but her boyfriend is a doctor.
Big Boss

good service good food and worth the price.if you eat free coffee here
Good customer service, very friendly and helpful in suggesting what food they offer. Delicious. Definitely will come back again.
Awesome and authentic Indonesian menu. The ikan goreng with rice had a large fish and was tasty with the spicy sambal. Not a huge menu, but they do their dishes well with friendly service. The fried chicken was great too!
Simple and unassuming, great value authentic Indonesian cuisine. The Ikan Goreng (deep fried whole fish) is a must order.
Nasi goreng good, Grill beef ribs is tender and juicy, Satay ayam and lontong/ rice cake is superb, Legit
Beautiful Indonesian dishes, would have to be the closest to Balinese restaurants. Generous serves, tasty and very nice and attentive staff, we'll be back for sure.
Ordered Iga bakar (grilled oxtail) and Bakso kampung (Meatball soup) for dinner. Total 24.50 AUD. The chili sauce was very spicy and authentic, like the one that you'll get in Indonesia. However the serving size was very small, and the taste was disappointing. The oxtail was just okay, and the meatball was quite hard to be chewed. You can find lots of better Indonesian restaurant, particularly in the Melbourne CBD.
I am a guy who goes there, (you might see me go on the weekends) it’s the best. I wish your restaurant becomes something big in the future. God bless you all and good luck!
Delicious, inexpensive food. Crispy chicken and grilled fish are delicious. The stand out is the stuffed tofu. Incredibly yummy!
The owner is friendly and wants to ensure that the patrons are happy and full.
