Kebab on Hoddle

We had an HSP here. Best one I’ve had in a while, good quality meat and very tasty sauces. The staff were really friendly. I’d definitely recommend this place to other people.

THIS IS MY FAVE KEBAB PLACE IN MELBOURNE. Also had a chat with the owner, they’re looking for staff members if anyone’s keen. Help a mate out.

HSP was good but the kebabs I didn't enjoy and feel like they can do alot more to improve.

When you first opened your kebabs were ok but now it’s disgusting with oil dripping everywhere with a terrible taste, maybe stop selling the previous days meat during lunch as that’s when the taste is awful. If people are paying nearly $20 for a small portion of a kebab we deserve better, I knew it was just a matter of time before the quality of your food went down the hole, stick to what you were serving when you first opened but now that you have more people buying from you you’re quality is gone. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHO PAY SO MUCH FOR A KEBAB THEIR MONEYS WORTH!

I have to say one of the best friendly shop. When my disabled wheelchair client didnt have enough money on his card they unexpectedly provide a free kabab. Also when the wind took my other two client chips they replacement them with a large chips.

I myself ordered a kabab meal, with chips and a can. The kabab was large and fill, the small chips was enough to totally fill me.

Fantastic! Ordered a chicken and felafel kebab, both amazing. Also got chips, huge serve and fresh. Baclava for desert was also really good. Ordered on an app, turned up nice and hot.

Terrible experience
The drunk lady took the order, charged money, made me to wait for 20 minutes and then forgot.

Sadly it was disappointing.: (

We ordered a $25.50 large mixed HSP for takeaway to find that the chips were soggy, undercooked and inedible.

The chips were visibly very pale, wet and without seasoning, as you can see in photos provided. We were excited to try this spot for the first time after reading the reviews but maybe we just caught them on a bad night. The meat was ok and the customer service was ok too.

I’m hoping the team at Kebab on Hoddle can can take this as gentle criticism as we would like to give this place another go.

We had a fabulous meal tonight at Kabab on Hoddle.
We are currently staying in Collingwood from interstate, we only arrived this afternoon so we were looking for something easy.
We looked at eateries within walking distance and found this one.
So glad we gave it a go!

The kebabs were lovely, the owner really takes pride in his work and he is super friendly and welcoming.
We had our kebabs with a large serve of freshly cooked hot chips sprinkled generously with chicken salt, just how we like them, yum!
We decided to eat in as we were on foot and wanted to eat our dinner while it was still nice and hot.
When we were half way through our meals the lovely owner bought over a complimentary baklava to our table for us, one each, such a beautiful thing to do. We thought it must be our lucky day.
The baklava was amazing too!

I live local and have tried all the kebab places. This is the best by far. I was surprised given the location of the restaurant, usually expecting the best places to be in the middle of the local nightlife. The meat is the real deal, none of that mince meat stuff. Great seasoning, fresh ingredients and well priced. The customer service is great and I haven’t had to wait longer than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this place.

Very distinctive barbecue and burritos, the hospitable boss, with a smile on his face, makes the food full of soul, to satisfy your appetite, come on, I believe it will bring you a different feeling

I am no kebab expert, but the meat was tasty and I think these are about clean eating as kebabs can get. The place is spotless, the owner pleasant and 15 min parking out the front.

Just ordered from here. Great food and very large servings. I've been able to finish every hsp I've ordered but this time I got through a bit over half. Run by the owner (who seemed like a good guy), felt more like your old school kebab shop. Definitly reccomnd!

Fantastic, we had kebab, hsp and chips. The kebab had *actual* lamb, not doner mince, just delicious, and all the veggies and sauces were bomb. I also liked how it was pressed in a sandwich press. The only criticism I would say is the chips were a bit soggy due to being covered in aluminium foil. But otherwise excellent!

OH MY GOODNESS BEST KEBABS EVER! Very nice owner and the meals are more than I could consume. The homemade garlic sauce is delicious. The homemade hommus is also just as amazing. Shop looks bright and clean and overall very very pleasant sit down and dine experience

Omg the best kebab with so much flavour and taste! I never had one like this in Melbourne before. I'm so glad I found this shop, the high quality fresh meat (not minced meat) makes it different from the other kebab shops. Cant wait to try it again.

They marinate their own lamb from lamb shoulder. You can certainly taste the difference. Cheaper and better than near by competitors.

Can't recommend enough.
