Kathmandu Head Office (Australia)

Placed an online order 2 days ago and chose click and collect in the hope that the store would pick my order from their stock and I could collect same or next day. Anyways my order is still processing so I rang head office who explained my order would be dispatched from Melbourne and sent to the click and collect store. They went on to explain the store didn't have the stock to fill my order so it has to be dispatched from Melbourne. I contacted the store and they do have 1 pair in my size available.

1/ Kathmandu customer service shouldn't provide customers with incorrect and misleading information.
2/ Antequated system where online orders are sent from Melbourne taking 3-5 days. Click and collect for most other big brands takes hours not a week.

Bring Kathmandu into the 21st century your business model is outdated.

I was trying to buy a new backpack after having the same Kathmandu back for 25 years. I found the Cotinga 25L & 30 L on the website but then no stores had any stock. A month ago I emailed customer service for assistance but the person Yag was not helpful at all after I asked if someone could let me know when more stock was available. Checked the stock checker and now all the stores have stock but the price has increased $40! I then emailed again asking if they could give me the price at the end of last year before the price went up. I got no reply…
I guess I will check out what backpacks The North Face has instead.

I want to write a specific review for Amayla @ Katmandu Sunshine Plaza. She helped me get completely set up with gear for a 3 day hiking trip I'm going on. Her knowledge and expertise was amazing and so helpful to ensure I not only got the right gear but I was making an investment into future hiking trips.
Compared to other National chains that sell Hiking gear but have no one working for them with Knowledge I will only go to Katmandu Sunshine Plaza for all additional gear in the future.

I purchased online from katmandu for my nieces birthday gift, and I paid for that I'm still waiting for my order, nobody answer to phone calls and emails, so embarrassing

Ripped me off.

I have a brain injury and explained my favourite Kathmandu jacket was in my stolen bag so I wanted to replace it. Kathmandu would only give me a $10 discount and then sent me a similar but not the same jacket. Saying they don't have my old jacket model 6 months after I bought it.

They probably didn't even search.

So now I'm stuck ripped off with a jacket I don't want. I can't return due to mobility issues and Kathmandu won't send me a return paid package.

I had my credit card blocked due to fraud attempts. A week or two later Kathmandu let me know they'd been hacked. They ignored three follow up emails. The email they sent notifying they'd let everyone's cards be breached had no-reply as the response address.

Poor IT systems, website was showing old prices from a sale but when you placed these items in the online cart it reverted to higher pricing, false advertising.
