Karem Woodcraft

Originally having grown up in country Victoria I have a huge love of turned posts and could not for the life of me find anything of that style in QLD. I found Karem and sent their details to my builder and he said the experience was a breeze. The length of our balustrades were 100mm too long, so I'm not completely satisfied but I don't know if that was the builder or Karem, so I'm sticking to 5 stars. We unfortunately had to upgrade to hardwood due to our fire rating but Karem were great and able to provide exactly what we needed. Flat rate shipping is amazing and really fair. Costed a pretty penny for hardwood but I LOVVEEEE it.

The guys down at karem were really helpful, we had a design that we were trying to match for our hallway fretwork and it came up a treat. Happy new year

The staff and boss do nothing but lie and then lie to cover up their last lies They take your money then have zero interest in you after that. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and it makes me angry to think I won't be the last person they do this too. Wish there was an option to put zero stars.

I’m Really happy with every aspect of my job.

We have had 3 orders over this year, our front gate, fretwork and front door. The Quality was fantastic, a gentleman came and measured twice, and they recommend carpenter that we used used.

Thanks for the help Karem, it took a while but we got there. The panels look great, I’ll send you some photos once they are painted and installed.

Really disappointed. Arranged our carpenter to be on site for “first thing” for delivery Monday morning. Delivery was arranged well in advance. As we were at a stage where nothing else could be done on site, he simply had to wait in his car for delivery from 7am while I paid his rates by the hour. After ringing at 9am we were assured that they will “leave soon” at 12pm we were told that they left 15-20 minutes ago, and now at 1pm still no delivery. The job was located in Malvern.

Not only that the address was originally taken down wrong as they didn’t listen to spelling over the phone which delayed the first delivery. After ordering $5,000 worth of materials they then informed that the order was ready to “pickup” and quickly hung up the phone when the order had been arranged 6 weeks prior for delivery.

Delays and mistakes happen. Bad service and false stories get to me.

One of those rare occasions where the finished product excesses our expectations, i am vision impaired and was able to feel the displays and ask that we take a bit from that 1 and a bit from that one, show them a few old photos and end up with exactly what I had in mind

Really happy with how my whole project went.
The staff helped me design my front fence, gates and balustrade to match a Hamptons style home My wife picked out on Pinterest. The back and forth on design was really helpful. Thanks again to to team for putting up with us.

Highly recommended. Friendly and very helpful staff. Custom made intricate products to my specification. Always willing to help and provided cad drawings prior to making products. I'm so glad I purchased from this long standing family business. I'm in the process of ordering more products from them as I know they'll provide great quality and service.

Karem’s team was very helpful in re creating a timber lamp post from drawing and photos. I would recommend them, time was a bit of an issue but the quality was excellent.

Accepted a quote from Karem Woodcraft to build and deliver a Tasmanian oak headboard to supplied specifications. The company failed to construct and deliver the headboard. No explanation of the problem was ever offered. We had to utilise the credit dispute transactions procedure of our bank to get a refund. A most unsatisfactory and dodgy experience

Placed order and was given a turnaround time of 10 days however It was more like 4 weeks. I had to constantly follow up and was told it would take another 5 days, this went on for an addition 2 weeks. I would not use them again.

Wish to say my experience was easy and smooth

Was 7 weeks however it was quite a large order.

Very unhappy with the service of this company, never deliver on time always waiting weeks up to months.never replying to emails in a reasonable time frame. Waiting long periods of time for quotes and when you call to follow up they don't answer or put you on hold for long periods. I don't recommend!

We are disappointed with Karem Woodcraft's service. The ordered items meant for five working delivery, but ended up almost 4 weeks.we spent many phone calls and emails expediting the delivery, many promised delivery dates were not kept. Lack of customer service and poor business professionalism.bad experience indeed.

I had a great experience with Karem, I sent them photos of what I was looking for via text And they directed me to what they had that was similar. The only issue was the shipping which took 6 days to reach Adelaide, after the 8 days it took to make.

Ordered post brackets on Friday and they came in 4 days. Quality was good, packaging was just plastic wrap.

This has been a nightmare from start to finish. Products didnt arrive for weeks when we were promised they would be 5 to 7 working days. The products werent cut right and we paid nearly $1500 more than the competitor because they promised quality. So disappointed and have had NO communication from the owner since we requested a replacement or refund. We have lodged it with consumer affairs because we are just so unhappy with the quality and communication. Never recommend them.

Everyone please DO NOT use this company! We decided to use them November last year. It took multiple emails and phone calls just to get a quote. We kept getting told they would do it ASAP as it was missed (by Scott). Eventually I got onto David who said he was really sorry he had never seen the job before. He worked out the qoute with me over the phone and said he had it all worked out. He offered free delivery which I really appreciated, too bad that's where the positive points start and end.
It then took multiple phone calls to try and follow up. They rang me three times to clarify which products I wanted even though it was in the multiple emails I sent. Eventually it was actually ordered then didn't arrive until middle of February even though it was promised so many times before. When it turned up we had payed for base rails that I didn't need and Cleary stated that in my email I sent and showed in the photos I attached. But the one thing we did need wasn't in the delivery. Apparently it was never put on the order.
They promised the missing part would be made and sent ASAP. We received this 8 months after our original contact for a quote. After I had to threaten consumer affairs, called and emailed no less than 30times to be lied to every time saying it was made and ready to send, then a week later after the delivery date had passed I would then get told it still hasn't been made. We only received it once I told them to shove it, I will find an alternative, then we got it in a matter of days, trying to avoid me going through the bank for a refund.
