Kardinia Aquatic Centre reviews
18Very good pool it has events sometimes so you can't go in certain pools but the Olympic and kid pools are very warm
Great clean water. Lots of shaded seated areas. Highly recommend the excellent swim teachers in the Vic Swim program available at Kardinia Aquatic Centre. However pools are outside only and have limited shade covering over pools so recommend to sunscreen up before and during visit. Great dive pool and waterslide available.
Love paying $8 to go do some laps just for 8 of the 10 lanes to be taken up by squad. You’ve got 2 squad swimmers to a lane while the rest of us are human centipede-ing it in the remaining 2 lanes with 6-8 people per lane. Go to move to the other pool and there’s kids floating around in the lanes. Best pool when it’s not busy but at 5pm or a hot day forget it - you’ll waste your money.
It is a solid pool, 7/10.there are a couple of nice long 50 meter pools along with nice garden grass areas which i respect.i wish there was more for the little ones but i enjoy coming here, nice and cheap.nothing grand or special but solid.if oyur into swimming laps please come to this place, its also close to the footy and opens early
Terrible experience today. I was swimming in a lane with a deaf lady, local member, when we had three people just sitting in the lane doing absolutely nothing but slowing moving and taking up all of the lane. Both the lifeguard and customer service person handled this extremely poorly, supporting this behaviour which is against the lap lane Etiquette clearly posted and I feel horrible for the local member. We will never come back here. As a paying visitor I was unable to swim laps at a loss to my entry cost. Also poor facilities for a major pool given the water slide doesn’t even open for the kids…
Such nice pools + good facilities. Staff however, made it really hard for me and my little ones to enjoy the day.definitely avoiding this place!
I can't believe a paid swimming lesson charges you an extra three dollars when you get here. That's a scam
No inside pool if anyone was wondering. Is a good outdoor pool and diving pool is very good 3.8m
Great pool for school swim sports and casual swimming. Two pools + q completely separate little kid pool which is great.
A terrific choice of refreshing outdoor pools on a summer's day. Great for grown ups and kids alike. Easy to access, handy change rooms, old-school style kiosk.
Lovely staff, great 50m pool at the perfect temperature, with plenty of lanes. Clean facilities, responsible procedures to ensure C-19 protections for staff and patrons. Will definitely be back.
Hooray the pool is now open year round! Excellent source of vitamin D, super helpful staff, friendly lap swimmers, fun competition for lap tragics called swim around the bay, even heating in the open air change rooms when it’s chilly.
The 50m pools are great for lap swimming but the facilities are very dated ie reception, cafe and changing rooms. Female change room has paint peeling and mould in shower areas, and is very draughty. Sorely in need of an update and thorough clean. Nowhere to securely store your things undercover in case of rain or in a locker. Entry price and multipass is expensive compared to pools with much better facilities elsewhere, including Melbourne where I've been charged less for lap swimming.
Great family spot. Slide should be free but you have to pay for it, not worth the dollars in my opinion but the diving pool is great the public pool is great
The pool is fantastic but can sometimes be too crowded, with very slow swimmers who don't understand the etiquette of lap-swimming.
Women's change rooms have always been very draughty & cold.
Staff are very polite & friendly.
I love the outdoor pool!
The facilities are well patronised but could do with a revamp and lanscaping especially to the carpark and surrounding area.
Brilliant facility. Geelong’s only true 50m pool for swim training. Pity it closes over winter forcing Geelong athletes to train in 25m pools.
