Kantin reviews
14 The food is delicious! We had pisang goreng, Singkong goreng and Perkedel jagung for entree it was delicious!
Then we had their Ikan bakar kecap, Mie Ayam, Mie goreng and Ayam bakar and all the food was top notch. It was flavourful and taste just like back home in Indonesia.
The service was great too. The lady was friendly and attentive.
We will come back again for sure.
Terimakasih!
Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere.
Unique menu, not like the usual Indonesian restaurant.
Staff are welcoming and are seen to always do their best.
Friendly staffs, great service and food. Try this place if you would like to try some authentic Indonesian food.
Tried their Mie Goreng Kantin and oh my Gosh! I am out of word. You have to come and try your self. Maybe we’ll meet. Their Air Jeruk Manado is not an ordinary lemonade. Its sooo refreshing.
Great food, tasty, especially for their North Sulawesi taste that is hard to find in Melbourne.
Tried their Nasi Kuning Ayam Woku and Es Markisa. It brought me back to Indonesia! So Authentic, delicious and tasty! Cozy place too with Indo music at the background. Must try their ribs and Nasi Goreng Kantin next time.
My brother and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kantin, and it was an experience that left our taste buds dancing with delight. This Indonesian restaurant not only has a cozy and inviting ambiance but also serves up a culinary journey that transports you to Indonesia.
Out of the different dishes we tried, two stole the show - the corn fritters (perkedel jagung kantin) and the sweet glazed fish (ikan bakar kecap).
The Corn Fritters were a revelation, showcasing the perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and a soft, flavorful interior. The golden brown fritters were generously.studded with sweet corn kernels, creating a delightful texture and sweetness that made them irresistible. Served with a spicy and refreshing tomato salsa that had just the right amount of kick.
The Glazed Fish was a masterpiece that highlighted the chef's expertise in balancing flavors and textures. The fish, perfectly cooked to tender perfection, was coated in a luscious, sweet and savory glaze that left us craving for more. The dish was accompanied with 4 different salsas that allow different combinations of textures and flavors.
Cakalang The taste matches our expectation as Manadonese in Melbourne. We left the restaurant with takeaway of a few dishes so we wouldn't forget the taste until next time.
Clean and new Indonesian restaurant in Carlton!
Must try the sate babi, and the es campur Menado which was really satisfying and refreshing.
We can eat real Indonesian foods!
Every thing are so nice and yummy
Also they are kind to us! Enjoy!
Great food. Not the typical indo food you can find in Melbourne. All the sambal was amazing!
Loved the atmosphere, however had the satay chicken was undercooked and service wasn’t friendly. Will come back in few months once they have settled in and try their other food
Great unique Indonesian eatery specializing in Manado cuisine. Tried their Nasi Kuning Ayam Woku, Bakwan Jagung, Nasi Cakalang, and many other dishes. Tasty and delicious.
Amazing authentic indonesian food with great flavours and spice. We ordered several plates to share between the two of us. We will definitely return
