Been twice now as a parent helper for two of my kids Grade 6 camps. Great organisation and so much to do at the farm and in the surrounding area. The walk from Princetown to the 12 Apostles is great. Matt (owner of Kangaroobie) is great with kids and keeps them entertained with lots of activities, stories and night walks. Food is normal but plenty of it and all locally sourced from either the farm itself or from other local farmers. Have got one more child who will be in Grade 6 in 4 years time - will put my hand up to attend that camp as well as a parent helper.

Bit of a late review, but my school went here late 2022 and it was terrible, food was bad, breakfast time was even WORSE, the beds weren’t so comfy, and the activities I literally HATED! I almost fell on the rocks in the obstacle course. And the maze was a bit claustrophobic too. Quite possible to get bitten by bugs. Oh and, the beach hike was the worst part. So sad we had to go there on THE FIRST DAY… it was so bad we had to walk what felt like a whole 2 hour hike even though it was only 2kms, only to see a brown lake. Then, we had to walk ALL THE WAY BACK! We all had to sleep on beds full of sand Lastly, I knew nothing about canoeing. They didn’t even tell us how! It was so hard. (Oh and, a lot of peoples stuff got missing in the cabins…) bad experience. 0/10 (I’m rating it 2 stars only because it was fun because my friends were there)

Rained on first night sleeping bag soaked, leeches and mosquitoes on crack, dangerous jonathan entity, rained every single day, got finessed by the hike to campout cuz they made us walk the longest route, wont let us pat the dogs, food tastes like recycled lithium batteries

We had to camp out on the first night and it was absolutely horrible. It was raining and everything got wet. One of the staff was telling us scary stories in the night before we sleep. Food doesn’t taste good. Many people got bitten by leeches. I don’t like it.

Visited for RYLA dinner. Great roast meal and setting. Everyone had positive things to say about the night.

Stayed here for year 6 camp at the end of the year. Cabins were so-so, but the activities were very fun and the food was also great!
Definitely enjoyed staying here.
Thanks Kangaroobie staff!

Having spent a joyous few days at Kangaroobie on a school camp I was thoroughly impressed with the friendliness of the staff, comfortable facilities, and the most picturesque location overlooking the Gellibrand River and ocean views. Thanks Matt and team for being amazing hosts!

We had our scrapbooking camp here and it was very enjoyable. The crashing waves had a very soothing effect at night and I slept better than I anticipated (I'm not great in bunk beds). Kitchen was great to cook in but it would be great if we could use the BBQ next year.

The food was alright but many of my friends hated it (I had different meals) and the rooms were fine but the activities were dirty and exhausting I know that most kids would love getting dirty but some kids don’t and the no shower time really iced the cake. We went for a farm tour where we went in an animal transporter to a few paddocks with cows. Matt (the owner) said some really horrible things that I don’t think kids that age should know he also told ghost stories and when we went on a night walk he said be careful or a Panther might eat you! When we went to the cabin there were underwear under the bed and sand in the sheets. In conclusion I wouldn’t recommend going if you/the children wouldn’t like getting dirty and being exhausted. If you want to have fun and don’t mind having a sandy bed and having fresh Beef I would recommend going!

Not entirely sure how I was meant to reply, but I've made an edit. On my trip with my school, most kids loved it. But the bedding, the activities that we were forced to do, the sub-zero beach trip, (It was freezing. What on Earth were y'all thinking) and the milky, full of lactose dairy food, I couldn't handle. So I'd say this is more of a personal issue, but could still be a problem for others like me. I'm in Year 7 now, and this was back in year 5, when I had lots of insomnia. I just think there could really be improvements to overall comfort and activities in the camp. That's why I disliked it. (My name isn't actually Marwood btw, i know it seems like that XD)

I went camping at Kangaroobie twice one in 2013 and the other is 2017. Both were wonderful and the host is hospitable! Highly recommend this to avid campers!

I had a great time at Kangaroobie, Matt (the owner) is very nice and funny! The activities are very fun! Some dirty but not all. I hope this Camp grows over the next few years because it deserves an expansion. The rooms are very cosy!

A positive experience. Had no problems with the food, although I wish the kitchen staff prepared it in seperate bowls instead of giving each table a tray. Gets pretty cold down there

Matt's a legend, Sophie's a legend, Lachie's a legend, Cristopher's a legend, Charlie's a legend, bucket's a legend, Jedi's a legend. A few too many men in dresses on New years eve. Other than that amazing

Beautiful place for a conference, school camp or more. Nestled between the Otway national Park, estuarine wetlands within earshot and sight of the southern ocean, so much to express here!

I'm so excited for my upcoming camp from the 5th to the 9th of augest. My school is very far away though so it's going to be a very long bus ride! My sister says it is amazing. I also have heard that the hosts Matt and Sophie are very nice.

Go there for Easter every year. Always counting down the days until we leave for Kangaroobie. Matt is a legend, love the facility’s and views. Can’t wait for next year.

So peaceful, clean and quiet, beautiful surrounding, close to the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, Port Campbell. The facilities are very basic but comfortable, with a hall and commercial kitchen. Great for family, sporting getaway trip.
