We visited Kake de Dhaba on the weekend which was quite reasonably priced with generously portioned meat in the curries. Personally I found the curries on the hot side despite requesting mild so it’s not likely to be a repeat from me but they were definitely authentic flavours

To compare the food here to other Indian restaurants in Australia is like comparing noughts and crosses to chess. Brilliant food and prices you can't believe.

Tried many things from here over the months, like Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Butter Chicken, Fish Curry, Garlic Naan, Lachha, Aloo paratha, Keema Naan, Chicken Biriyani, Channa Bhatura, Lassi and not once have I wished for something to taste better. They were all amazing and taste like authentic Indian food.

What I love about this shop- They offer food in great quality and quantity, with affordable prices. Indians and Non Indians, this is an OG Indian restaurant. And I would totally recommend

Happy news for every person whoever have lots of money to waste, don't go anywhere there is place to waste your money resonably. Whoever have bit of knowledge of food please don't go there you will stop eating food and start eating grass you will find grass more tasty then that.

The lamb Briyani was brilliant. Very spicy how I like it and came with free yogurt. Big portion size and great value. Highly recommend

A true St. Kilda gem.

Poor hygiene. The drinking water had white particles in it. The water bottle was also dirty from outside. When we complained the waitress was unapologetic and said it was the dirt from outside bottle that was reflecting inside. We had to show her the dirt inside. Coincidentally the table next to us complained that they had an insect floating on the water.
Food was too creamy and chicken did not taste fresh. Also there was no compensation offered for this poor experience. There should be better hygiene standards especially during a pandemic.

The food was amazing. Palak Cheese, Chicken Tika and cheese Naan.

The delivery guy was really nice and the meal came hot and didn't need reheating. Rare at the moment.

We ordered for the first time today from this restaurant- Dal Makhni, Palak Paneer and Chicken Tikka Rara. Little disappointed with the Dal and paneer as both had some sorta overpowering sweetness. Could not taste anything but sweetness. Chicken was absolutely amazing and so were the breads (Aloo Kulcha, Naan and Roti). The serving size is also very generous. May give it another try with special instructions to make it dhaba style as per the name!
