Kabul Spices Restaurant

We came to this restaurant by chance as we were passing through Pakenham and what a little gem we uncovered. The service was warm, friendly and generous. The decor really transports you and shares a piece of their culture. The food oh the food, was extremely delicious. We got the Eggplant dish, lamb shank, chicken and beef skewers, the accompanying sauces added even more to the flavour. The tea was made really special by the rock sugar with safron which infused the tea beautifully. Everything was prepared and delivered with love. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Taste of the food I ordered was excellent, the restaurant was clean and spacey, service was friendly and prices seem ok as well. Only criticism is that the didn’t come with the dips pictured and the bread felt like store bought but was still nice.

Absolutely delicious food had the lamb skewers with dips salad and bread and the wife had the eggplant. Couldn't ask for anything better we were both full and it was a very reasonable price. Will definitely come back here. The staff were very polite

Will definitely be coming back to Kabul Spices Restaurant for excellent food and also for the warm and exceptional service.any good cook will know the food is cooked with love, for sure, and with flavour that is not easily found in all (or many) Afghan restaurants, with the eggplant and mantu dishes being just a couple of my favourites.

We had lunch here today, Food were amazing and were authentic Afghani dishes. We order a mix kebab and green tea, Kebab comes with Afghani bread.

My fiancé and I went to Kabul Spices today. We were impressed by the atmospheric Afghan décor (tasseled wall hangings, prayer mat and beautiful, multicoloured glass lamps) and subtle dambura with tabla music. It was warm and inviting on a cold rainy day. We ordered manto, lamb kofta and rice which were served promptly. It was all delicious and the meat was melt-in-the mouth tender. The prices were so reasonable: including the soft drinks we only paid $42 for us both. The Afghan waiter was very friendly and informative. We're certainly going to Kabul Spices again!

Kabul Spices is what I would classify as an ‘honest’ restaurant. They don’t have overly elaborate descriptions on the menu, not plush, not all over social media, BUT, they serve amazing food at reasonable prices.
I’m a repeat customer and the consistency is excellent. Meats are well seasoned and the sides are generous.
Service is brilliant too. Whenever I visit Pakenham, I will always try to catch a meal here.

Absolutely amazing Middle Eastern sorround, foods are delicious as we are hungry for the best tasting. We especially enjoyed with lamb rice. Overall fantastic lunch in remarkable Pakenham with real Afghan cousin.

My husband and I just had the tastiest takeaway lunch. Never been to this restaurant before but we will definitely be back! We had chicken kebab with flat bread, fresh salad, 2 sauces (1 yoghurt and 1 green chilli I think), extra flat bread on the side and a small rice dish that was so aromatic. Everything was very fresh and cooked while I waited. Wow what a feast! Full of flavour with herbs and spices. No fatty bits on the chicken either. Thank you so much for an amazingly tasty feast.

The food is really delicious and the hospitality is amazing. I asked the owner what a particular food is and he gave me free samples to try. I highly recommend this place
