Just Hooked Fish & Chippery

I've been coming here for years and although the fish and chips haven't been extraordinary, they have been reliably good. On a recent visit, the fish especially was lacking. Dry, thin, hardly any batter. Everything else was ok but I feel like the quality has gone down hill over the years. Maybe it was a one off but wasn't hugely satisfied that time.

Prompt service, even in peak hour our orders have always been not long of wait.
Fish, Chips and crab sticks are always cooked well.

Best fish, best chips, best calamari! No overcooked/rancid oil, and everything tastes good. We've been getting fish and chips from here for a while, and have never been disappointed.

Great spot if you enjoy eating real home made style burgers.
The chips are not oily and salted just right.

This is the best fish and chip shop in the area. The fish portions are generous, fresh and delicious. I love the chips which taste like the ones from my childhood (70s), no surprise since the owners are Greek and clearly know what they are doing.
I can highly recommend this F&C shop.

Over $75 dollars for a family dinner. The chips were the worst I have ever seen, two different kinds of new and old chips mixed together and were soggy. If i could give it no stars, I would. I was so upset that i took chips back to show them and they were argumentative, could not believe how horrible the food is and the customer service matches the food.

Be aware this man isn’t customer service friendly he attempted to upswell me from dimsims to full pack and used foul language; unsure of his name but he is a elderly ethnic male with a gold chain around his neck please don’t support this local plenty of other quality places around

There's a lot of good fish and chip shops in the area but this is my local. Since we discovered it we haven't gone anywhere else. The blue grenadier has been good everytime and the chips are fresh and crunchy. No complaints.

I have passed this shop many times & today was my lucky day.

will make a point of passing by at lunch more often.

Cooked well but extremely thin portion of fish. Could hardly taste the fish. Sorry not worth the price.

Made order on uber eats. Missing one item. Called to get them to send one out didnt answer calls. Flake had dried out batter attached. Not nice

I thought this place would be good because it had four stars review should’ve clicked and actually check the reviews because when I came in shop did not look clean the lady that made my flake did not wear gloves when touching the raw fish especially in Covid time you would think they would have high hygiene standards. The food was very oily and didn’t seem fresh I wouldn’t recommend this place are you basically just eat oil and lots of batter

V busy i guess but felt like it took forever to get the order completed. Not sure how long new owners in store but it's popular along the Sussex drive just b4 the strip shops across the road.
Yet to taste the hamburgery element but fish n chips r ok - I've had better

Horrible. I ordered steak sandwich wirh the lot and steamed Dim Sims. I waited 30 minutes and got fried Dim Sims. The steak sandwich was bread, piece of meat and lettuce. Both were cold. Never going there again.

Hadn't ordered from here for a few months and it used to be tasty and fresh. Ordered tonight and couldn't eat the fish, it was clearly frozen, the batter was far too thick and the oil tasted really old. The potato cakes tasted like powdered potato and again old oil.
The chips were just edible.
Pretty disappointing and won't be returning.

Ordered food and told 15 minutes. It took 50 minutes and when we got our food the order was wrong. Potato cakes and chips so burnt that you could snap them in half. Shocking food and shocking service

1 of the best fish & chips around and have been going there for 7 years and never disappointed.their Grilled fish option is worth a try so is their chicken burgers.highly recomended.

Got yelled at by someone that I assume was the owner, was only trying to ask about whether or not an online order went through

Poor manners, did not even acknowledge us walk in the door and stand waiting to order for 8 minutes. In the end we walked out and went to another food shop. Lost business!

Fantastic, classic fish and chip shop with a good selection of additional options. Always satisfies.
